Posting on a friend's behalf concerning her adventure with the second boss of the Vault.

So jumped into Ex roulette on my AST. Has a SMN in my party, i managed to out dps them. Yeah let that sink in. The AST did more DPS than the SMN.

So first pull, SMN managed to OOM on it. Decided to pay more attention to what they were doing after this, after all, who manages to OOM on SMN. Next pull, SMN rotation is as follows: Miasma 2, Ruin 3 spam. There are a few painflares in there occasionally. So for the rest of the dungeon we have bad SMN. On bosses they would start with tri-disaster, but dots would fall of and be reapplied when tri-disaster was back up. No enkindle the entire dungeon, no bane, no fester. Aethertrail Attunement and Aetherflow were always out of alignment. Saw one Deathflare the entire dungeon and that was on a single target boss. They obviously knew these moves existed, but were just plain terrible. Ruin III was their most used ability in the entire run (out of dreadwyrm trance of course).

TL;DR EX roulette, the AST out dps's the SMN.

So, doing Anima quest, queued for Vault on WHM. Met this WAR that is probably ilvl130. His HP drops from 14k to 0 in the 2nd group of mobs even before I could cast a Aero III + Cure. I decided not to do any DPS after we restarted.. Things went fine but I notice his HP drops REALLY fast.

So at 2nd boss, he dies because.. yup, HP dropped within 2-3hits. 1 of them could have been the tank buster but still... my CDs were gone and there's only so many that a WHM has. I revive him and he proceeds to taunt the boss immediately without waiting for my CURE II to finish its cast. He dropped again immediately of course. Best part? He self-revives after that and doesnt wait for my resurrect. So me and 1 other DPS stay arounded with the boss for a good 2minutes.. and he says "so you'll heal the mech but not me." and proceeds to kick me after we finally wipe.

Sorry for my rant, but yea :/ Just feeling a little moody [/rant]

I've only healed 1 dungeon so far, but I got a group with a thamaturge who was constantly pulling off the tank (gladiator). The rogue in the group was also pulling off of him from time to time. Nice having to be in 3 places at once. >.<

Better you learn how to deal with that kind of thing in low level content, rather than in high level content when the dmg spikes up through the roof. Pain and experience are the best teachers.

At low levels, THM pulls hate off the tank with one or two spells. Unless you just want them to sit there and twiddle their thumbs, you basically have to deal with it. Also, at low levels, until 22 or so ish, basically anyone can tank, so it's not that big of deal. I agree with Februs, use it as a learning experience.

Ok, this is sort of funny because it happens to me a lot in HW instances/raids- since I've been currently running them as 60 Conj. A lot of people hate the fact that I'm in there group. Tanks intentionally don't provoke dungeon or trial bosses, so after 1 or 2 cures on the tank I get full agro. During raids, the other healer refuses to cast buffs/heal the group (So far I've been the only healer). And DD love to try to kill me if there's a tethered mechanic (like in the vault-last boss. Instead of us running seperate ways, they'll run to me and start jumping up and down).

So this is how I imagine them.



When that happens, I'm getting to the point of this.

Helped a friend with Titan Extreme because he wanted the pony. Rolled in PF, got an extremely snarky bard, who right off the bat asked me " Are you any good at healing this, cos' I don't want any noob healers." I replied that I've done TEx before. Turns out, the only person dying there was the bard, who pretty much got steamrolled. A After 3 rounds, bard admits that she's new to this. Tank tells her she shouldn't be so snarky when she's new. Other nicer party members asked if she's read a guide before coming.

Her answer? " Can't be bothered. I figured I'd learn inside here."

I've never seen a vote dismiss being initiated and executed so fast lol

I think I may have met this SMN last night in Void Ark. After the initial DOT rotation, she just stood in a corner spamming Ruin III and nothing else @_@

You're not kidding. You only have 60 cnj on your profile and wearing lvl 58/Skypirate HQ crafted gear. I can see why people are less than friendly with you. I'm impressed you made it this far without the 15+ whm abilities and dps skills but I think you'll notice once you open whm up how much more stronger and efficient the soul-class is. I'm sure you'll be awesome at it.
