    It's funny how Haurchefant posts always seem to attract a host of Haurchefant bashers. If you didn't care for the character, hey good for you, but don't pretend to speak for everyone else and make blanket statements like "no one cared about him before that event happened.

    Personally, I liked him back when he made his rather enthusiastic entrance in Dragonhead. I didn't go ga-ga for him, but I liked him. When they made him more visible and active in the Heavensward quests, I liked him a lot more. But there's something about a
    death of a character that will intensify a fan's feeling towards that character. And I'm not even just talking about FFXIV, this happens all the time in all sorts of stories. So it's not really a surprise that people would be more vocal about it after the fact... what's the saying? You don't know what you've got til it's gone?
