Hopefully this is a joke. NIN has almost no AOE. SCH fairy has already been nerfed. Holy has already been nerfed 2 or 3 times.

Why nerf warrors? :/

It's like when I duty finder roulettes I notice a few things.

A bad warrior that doesn't understand their job, still isn't a bad tank, does passably well and we clear the expert just fine.
A bad DRK can't hold onto stuff. We struggle through.
A bad PLD is harder to find. But when find one... it's just a mess like can't believe, they got to 60 and still think pld is a dps job or don't have a soul crystal bad. They have intelligence accessories bad.

Nerfing warriors is gonna be bad... :x I won't be as relieved when I get them in DF... :x

Ok so you acknowledged you were joking? or what, cause Holy is pretty almost a waste of MP at this point for anything other then stunning. and what exactly do you want nerfed on the faries.. they are low enough already. but if you actually were joking nevermind i guess.

He obviously heard it from one of the elderly ladies at the local retirement home whose grandchild is friends with someone on the internet whose dad works at Nintendo who in turn knows a guy in Square Enix who heard a rumor during lunch from one of the janitors.

It's because the game isn't balanced around bad players, it's balanced around the best players and the optimal potential of the job. Right now WARs do an insane amount of damage for a tank job and it's causing them to be preferred over the other tanks. Either WARs need a major damage nerf or DRk and especially PLD need some buffs. To be honest this wouldn't be an issue if the devs weren't so lazy as to keep using DPS checks as the primary difficulty barrier in raid content. As it is though DPS is all that matters when forming a raid group now, which is also why MCH and AST are unfavorable choices due to how poorly they contribute to group DPS when compared to alternatives.

I'm not sure where the SMN nerf comments are coming from though. SMNs were in a really bad place just before the expansion and our AOE changes were our primary fix. Nerfing SMN AOE will just put us back where we were...

This thread is purely speculation though. No comments have been made by the devs regarding the situation that I'm aware of.
