Roulette Expert, lvl 60 and 50 would like to have a talk with you.As much as I appreciate the sentiments of this idea, from a design standpoint is just wouldn't work. The DF is specifically for filling instances for people who need the content in order to progress with people who will play with them. The most efficient way to do this is if everyone queued solo, because combinatorics. Of course, not everyone is going to queue solo so we need to makes sure at least some of the community is or else it would destroy queue times. The way to incentive solo play is that the roulette, with its bonuses, requires solo play. Allowing people to "duo" queue into roulettes breaks this and it would really mess with queue times. Generally I think it would raise the mean and the variance of the wait time. Not good.
Remove the votekick option, should've never been implemented. People need to get along with everyone, just like in this salty forum. (not that your comments were salty, mind you)
Thanks for the reply! While it's a little annoying when me and my sister are leveling and we can't do certain roulettes together...I also tend to play solo quite a bit and given only allowing some roulettes is for queue management, in the long run I think it's still a good idea.
For every every person that has a few buddies lined up to queue with, I bet there are probabaly 10 times more solo players.
If you're leveling your 1st class, then just queue solo. If you have end game level characters...then currently you can do 50, 60, experts, normal alex and void arc together.
I'm not playing only for leveling, leveling by itself comes automatically. We are playing for the fun of it, and to have a bit more XP of course and GIL, which is needed for the absurd Market Board ruled by humans..
So yeah, So many options for leveling, but do get into Dungeons (where we have fun) would be nice for everyone.
As someone else said, unlock it up to the max party -1, then we might see a new hype from bored players.
Lol tell me beyond Soloers (which the games leans toward) Who's limited? Couples are underrated here, not the opposite lolI was expecting this topic to be about something different from the title, and I'm now confused and slightly disappointed. There's got to be a gap in the market for random wedding matchmaking roulettes. Who needs to meet someone and get to know them first?
Back on topic, it would be fun but I honestly think married couples get enough perks. I usually play with my real life partner and we just don't bother with those roulettes. Having more duo options would be nice but why limit it to couples?
And besides teleporting quickly once per 30 mins outside instances, tell me the perks of being married in this game?
Guess some people who play this game alone really should get a real BF/GF in life.. I wouldn't want to be with a random player heck no! Married? You guys are nuts ^^Honestly... if there's gonna be any marriage roulette it should be more about randomly pairing you with someone else for the eternal bond for people who have a difficult time finding someone on their own. kinda like blind dating except for the use of the wedding rewards only. The only issue with this idea is there's plenty of people who would automatically assume they're dating the other person by default when it would only be about helping people get the rewards.
If you cannot make friends on your own, chat in FC/LS and then get to know each other, and then ask each other to get 'perks' of getting married in the game, and both agree, then you don't deserve the server to randomly choose someone for you, you failed the FATE already >.<
Thank you for saying no offence, as none is taken ^^ and hopefully my post will be viewed as such.I completely agree. My partner and I live together in the real world and our characters are bonded in-game. Yet we often go off and do our own thing. Why? Because it's healthy - and interacting with people other than one's significant other is important. In my experience - and I mean no offence by this - players who absolutely must do everything with somebody else are generally very clingy and prone to drama.
You have to think outside the box (monitor) - When 2 people work (real work, no mamas and papas paying for you) that takes a huge chuck of time away. Add Kids, even less.
We have lots of activities beyond this game (now that's HEALTHY!) We just started Kendo yesterday, and it was a Blast!
Ok on topic.
So when my BF purchased this game, it was for both of us to enjoy a good time together, and then sometimes he plays alone, sometimes it's me, to catch up to him since he plays since Beta ^^
The drama comes in many ways, no need for a game, but add people who play who are alone and never got to see the sun outside, somes are prone to be acting like Divas or DramaQueens..
So yeah, it's not that everyone MUST absolutely do everything with their lover. Missed the point.
I proposed to ADD more Roulettes! And since they can allow more than one to do some of the Roulettes already, the programmed module for it to allow more roulette and being unlocked is created already.
And we have FC/LS/Friends in the game when we want to chat, or to complete dungeon runs because we got paired with Randoms who were not able to help us complete the instance for whatever reason.
So hope it's clearer. To ADD more Roulettes, or unlock those.
Oh! and what everyone will say when they'll unlock GC Ranks? We will be able to Hire mercenaries.. so us 2 + 2 mercenairies, lot's of people will cry that they don't have us to help clear what they want thereafter.
So it seems obvious that they can do it.
I leave it up to them to decice if they should.
Just like any other suggestion in the game, like Glamour this and that. (QoL they say, can't live without glam - now that's healthy lol)
Awesome. That's the type of person, like yourself, that I wanted to reach, among others ^^I would *love* this. I play with my boyfriend who lives an hour away. I'm a full time college student and mom. He's a full time employee. We (except on holidays) have VERY limited time to play. Personally if he's not online, I don't even play. If people in the game were more social, then I'd enjoy it more, but whenever I get into a dungeon there's only a few moments people talk: -Hello, -Brb/ -Some kind of critique/advice, -Jerk/Bully, -Thanks for the group, bye! I've tried to actively seek social LS to join (I'm in an FC with IRL friends who are rarely online, save my bf, so no socialization there). If I play by myself, I'm quite literally playing by myself. My keyboard could be half a room away (I play in the PS4) and never need it. And I DO try to make conversations, people mostly just ignore it ._.; Heck I even PF'd a whole day "Seeking social LS! Want to make new friends!" And nothing <.<; If you're not end game concentrated, you're no one ._.; (My end game is honestly making my FC house pretty).
SO, suffice to say, since I ONLY play (this) game when he's online, I literally *never* do my roulettes. He does, of course, enjoy the game without me, he has actual friends in the game (he's the one that introduced me to the game) and even if he had no one to talk to, he enjoys the game enough to play by himself. But I know he wouldn't mind doubling with me for roulettes. It'd be nice~
And though I play with him at all times, I tank, dps and heal, so I know how to do my roles just fine regardless of who is tanking/healing x) (He's not a good healer rofl)
Not everyone has all the time in the world, and my BF consider himself so lucky to have a Gamer girl.. and I'm decent at healing, Astro's my favorite so far, almost 60, can't wait!
Next: Scholar (my BF's Healer fav lol) He plays all roles, like some more than others, and I'm playing to catch up ^^
Err.. you read my post?
We are not running out of things to do lol with every server reset, Leves, Fates, VA, and daily Vanu Beast Tribes, Trial, Main Scenario, Leveling (looking at you!), 50, 60 expert..
We have to skip some among them.
And on day we can do all of them like when the kids are away, we still encounter the fact that we both click on leveling, apart.
That's where a DUO roulette, or a Marriage one, would be nice to have, then we could skip the leveling, until they'll unlock it like lvl 50 and up.
