The female dance looks great on Roe women. Of course it doesn't look imposing on a toothpick with a dragon tail.

The dance looks like crap on the females, tradition or not, which is why I didn't even bother or consider doing the vanu quests. If they change it, I'd go for it, otherwise no. They probably wont change it so I'll ignore this one cosmetic that didn't look that great to begin with.
Why is there a difference? The dance looks extremely awkward without the legs bent, and it's terribly underwhelming when compared to what the Vanu Vanu look like when they do it. I know it's purely an aesthetic choice, but I feel this kinda ruins the dance for female PCs.
Threads like these have happened so many times you can categorize the posters.
The "Change it now you sexist popotoes!" crowd.
The "You're not allowed to express your dislike for this, because it happens real life" crowd.
The hypocrite crowd "A bunch of idiot used this idiotic argument against male glamours, I do hate it when they do that so I'll use it against you".
The "Not this again" crowd (almost everyone).
I'd say just drop it, but unless Yoshida personally comes to your home and tells you no, you likely won't take no for an answer.

O hey, It's Ashlin Farblade and Folken Grymtooth! Bruh!
Yeah I stopped the vanu2 quests halfway when I saw the female version on the forum. I don't bother anymore.
Agreed. Looks like crap. I stopped doing the beast quests when I saw what this looked like for females. No intention to complete it. Just my choice - I understand there are those that like it - but even the linked Youtube dance of traditional Haku was far more interesting than what was done for us here, and that linked video was trying to argue that what we got here was ok. *shrugs* I think it was just a lazy animation effort, personally. It's just a dance, but still. The dance looks like crap on the females, tradition or not, which is why I didn't even bother or consider doing the vanu quests. I will never get over it since we all saw the male version w/o knowing the dances will be gendered - it's not what every player with a female char was asking foryou want further proof that the female version of the Haka, which the sundrop dance is based looks different? Male and female dances are different, at times. This is one of those times. People need to just get over it.
Just give everyone (m&f) both dances (can't be that hard to do) and everyone's happy
It could be so diverese but no, dances and weapon poses have to be gender locked...dafuq would prevent my char from lifting that ginat sword on my shoulder or dance the male version of the sundrop? There's no logic

This is our future. Our story.
Certainly a possibility.
But it makes referring to certain things that have been said or brought up a whole lot more complicated than just quoting that specific point to refer to it directly, especially since the discussion might have taken an entirely different turn in the time it took to make the post for whatever reason. I was holding back the submission of this post to demonstrate. It would be quite jarring without the quote, wouldn't it?
I think I rather risk being misinterpreted on a quote. It doesn't happen particularly often after all. I hope the person addressed will be able to figure out it's addressed even though I put the words into my own mouth for the lulz, which obviously implies I am addressing myself. And that was totally not meant sarcastically.
Same thing that prevents the guys from putting a bunny crown on their head or doing the feminine version of the Thavnaiwaitaminute─
But seriously, some of the female poses (female Dark Knight, anyone?) look badass af but we can't access them.![]()
Male version looks infinitely more badass to me, Guts anyone?Too bad they wield their weapons in such a weird way. They really should have a toggle for battle poses, we need more variety there.
