Why do so many people FAIL at dps.

When I see such numbers, I could cry. Was the third try. And every bomb did explode. Hell for healing too.

Latest DF A1 normal run.

Warrior (OT): 943 DPS.

Bard: 470 DPS.
Dragoon: 467 DPS.
Blackmage: 465 DPS.

Paladin: 412 DPS.

Machinist: 342 DPS.

Scholar: 274 DPS.

Was with AST twink and had all hands to do with healing against the stacking debuffs. After the first wipe because of ignoring mechanics, I've stopped DPSing completely to keep enough MP for that horror run, where the dudes not only didn't know how to play their class. They also handled the fight in the most worse way.

There are no numbers. What a big surprise for people that don't think about it before writing.

Why in the heck does the WHM's numbers matter, at all? Forgive me, b ut was this an attempt to call them out for not doing DPS?

the WHM shouldnt' have to make up the difference of these weak dps. The only way I'd EVER be that low as those DPS is if I died at the start and stayed dead most of the fight.

My DRG can pull 1.2k easily with jumps in that fight. So even if we assume these people could (ideally) be pulling 1k, how is the WHM supposed to make up for almost 2k difference in DPS?

I'm less concerned about the healer's dps when theres three other dps roles who aren't performing even the bare minimum (which is going behind auto attacks and alt atbbing), especially if I can do 450ish by just spamming heavy shot. In Wanderer's minuet. Without a party buff.

I mean it's a bit about calling out other peoples numbers when your numbers suck. It's really easy to DPS in Alex 1 Normal for both healers.

That said, with the DPS numbers shown, it would not be surprising if people were taking a lot of unnecessary damage and the healer not only was focused on heals, but attempting to conserve MP.

There's a reason for a healer not to DPS in a raid, regardless of how 'easy' it is:

> Mechanics that reduce incomming healing, such as the aforementioned bombs hitting down in A1 normal
> Tanks are full-STR, never pop Mitigation, and tank in DPS stance, requiring heavier heals.

Now, just from their post, they stated that

Tbh, after running a lot of A1 for my relic, I would say you have a bomb explode on half of the runs right now. That means as tank I had to go back to defiance, and the healers had to stop dpsing. Bad dps making everyones dps worse. In the end it took a lot longer than it should.
