Messages over 45+ characters vanishing.

Is it just /em that's limited to 45 characters? I've written out chunks of instructions of mechanics for people in /p /fc /s and haven't had problems - only if I'm typing excessively. I don't normally write anything particularly large in /em to have witnessed 45 characters going missing o_o

that first emote alone (not icluding "/em" ) is a 150 characters XD

edit ... maybe limit tells to 45, or 100, but leave the other channels alone.

I did this to show the irony of the 45 char limite and agree with your case.

I'm not entirely sure if this is an added "feature" on SE's part or just a glitch that happens, we've typed emotes that have hit the character limit that have been sent and they've shown up just fine, but other times we'll wait 5 minutes only to find out a persons' emote hasn't come through. still longer than 45. andthen they re type it and it comes through fine, it may be to do with the fact that we use emotes like

/em waves hello to character-name, she bows and says "longtime no see friend how have you been?"

so " or * or ' maybe causing a conflict, not the character length, unfortunately PSN is down so I can't test this thing right now.

I copied /em waves hello to character-name, she bows and says "longtime no see friend how have you been?" directly into chat and it went through just fine.

It must be a combination of words, as I've had that happen before, but only once.

wait OP are you talking about the spam filters or the annoying glitch where it just eats (as in hit enter yet what you type vanishes.) what you type, if it is the latter then i agree with you it is very annoying my FC constantly has it happen when were typing in party emote say or even in a dedicated IC linkshell.
