it is and isn't. At present the GM staff seem to be divided on it, but there are screenshots on reddit of people getting pulled into Jail and talked to/ actioned by GMs over it.

From what I understand after seeing that thread and then talking to some GMs directly, the lead GM confirmed that it is indeed against the ToS to sell plots of land to other players (manual relinquish) because there's no system to hold players accountable if you pay them to relinquish a plot and they bail with the gil. The only problem was that not all that localized teams knew the rule. The lead GM confirmed it would be standardized across all languages now. So feel free to report sellers in the PF and enjoy their tears of wasting that gil hoping for a resell.
Yes because everyone that is trying to sell a house atm are people who bought on Christmas with the only reason of reselling. /s
Honestly this does more harm than good. With people not allowed to sell plots even less become available. The people who bought with the intent to resell wont magically let go of their house now, they'll just continue to sit on it.
Then they should just let it get relinquished.Yes because everyone that is trying to sell a house atm are people who bought on Christmas with the only reason of reselling. /s

Uhh if you read the whole thing I said they almost certainly will not let it get relinquished. Because really why would they when they can sit on it and sell it at a safe time without fear of warning. I doubt people who bought to sell really need the money asap or that they have the generosity to just relinquish it,
I did read the whole thing. And I'm with Velox. I report anyone I see selling homes. Either they will sit on it or get some money back by letting it go.Uhh if you read the whole thing I said they almost certainly will not let it get relinquished. I'm sure you did fantastic in school right.
Y player would like to get a house. X player can't sell house, But invested quite alot of money in it, like many other Xs they cannot sell their house. And they rather keep it than demolish it to give it away for free.
I'm against buying up houses, But banning people who are selling their houses for what ever reason other than buying -> selling higher giggty lol diggity!
By that logic bought merc runs of content are also against ToS. The GMs are just making up a reason to enforce against it because so many players are unhappy with SE's botched housing system. The actual solution would have been to limit a single house per account prior to the demolitions. This current change of policy (they previously said it was perfectly fine) is only going to cause more harm than good as it ensures those houses will not return to the market as intended. From what I understand after seeing that thread and then talking to some GMs directly, the lead GM confirmed that it is indeed against the ToS to sell plots of land to other players (manual relinquish) because there's no system to hold players accountable if you pay them to relinquish a plot and they bail with the gil.
