Why do so many people FAIL at dps.

Good for you. I personally have no trouble picking up new languages super fast, but I don't go around the world and tell everyone how much they suck because they aren't as gifted.
Are you the type of person to go up to someone in a wheelchair and ask them why they don't run as fast as you?
There are VARIOUS reasons for people to play their class worse than you, and it's incredibly rude to just assume they are lazy just because they stuggle with something that comes easy to you.

Well, they need to *stop* playing their class incredibly worse then anyone. The heavensward end game requires you to at least *know* how to play your class and stop being carried. Yes, in this game, its QUITE easy to dps. For mchs, its just procs with off GCD's and yet there are many that mchs can't seem to get that right.

Really? You can reach max DPS on any and all classes? You sure about that? Anyways, people have no feedback or training on maxing deeps, so how can you expect them to, really? And it's got nothing to do with using a controller, several top raiders use gamepads.

Really, its not hard to look up youtube guides or look up guides on how to play a class effectively.

Controller makes no difference as to how much dps you can do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VB2S4k72ZI, SMN doing over 2k dps on AS1 with a controller so don't go all pc master race on us.

I know some people that play on keyboard and are terrible at it but the most come from controller players due to not enough buttons or controls scheme. Kinda like I can't play Mass effect on Keyboard/mouse.
