I really don't want to see everything fly. I mean, Fat Chocobo was funny and all, but anything else would just be overkill in my opinion. Not sure why people can't just use two mounts and enjoy a good old-fashioned ground trek to your destination once in a while. I got Sleipnir for my Au Ra since any other ground mount felt weird for him and I bought him after I already had Twintania for my air mount.

Why can't ground mounts get an ability to dash for a short while? It'd make them stand out from flying mounts rather than them having to be that special snowflake as well.

same goes for me and fenrir. i bought fenrir right after 3.1. i enjoy a good old fashioned ground trek o.o/ i am against a flying fenrir and flying adamantoise and flying everything...

According to this site, Fenrir is far more rare than the Tank mounts (excluding the DRK mount) and Adamantoise is between the two tank mounts. Regardless, mounts should not fly because of their rarity. Otherwise, why doesn't the Goobbue, the several War Steeds, Elbst or even the Direwolf fly? The value is in that they're rare, not the ability to fly. Unless we're going on the route that everything should fly, in which case if we're going to start making no sense even further, I want either wings or to have pixie dust sprinkled on me.
