I would like to know too although the adds are pretty obvious. You'd think that SE would know about it and take action if they're really cared.

I believe this. While its against the TOS, it feels like they don't really care that players are being scammed out of 60 million gil or that people are flipping houses for upwards of 1000% profit. Its just a shame.
