Note that FCs are the easier way to buy a house on an alt. I don't see a way they could reasonably stop that unless if they only allow an account to enter into a single FC, which would be ridiculous.

Also, hell no to limiting a new account from buying a house for months. 1-2 weeks from starting the game, some people will have the necessary story complete and the gil required to buy a small. This will negatively affect them.

It's quite easy. I had that much two weeks into starting the game, and that was over a year ago. It's become even easier since then.

Well I personally think those unbelievably rare (or what you refer to as "some") players shouldn't prevent a potential way to help alleviate one of the problems with housing. Not to say I think the sub rule is a great idea. It's an idea. That's all. I'm sure there are much better ideas to deal with the problem.
