    It would be pretty annoying to be expected to remember up to a 100 or more combinations in the middle of combat. Mudras I can do but any mixing in Final Fantasy games always required me to have a reference guide if I didn't want to experiment and possibly lose valuable materials.

    Going back to the branch of AST, follow suit with royal road. We keep the basic 3 (maybe 4) items used to mix. Upon mixing you have your base item, next skill used only available upon having an item in hand forces its new ability. For example say we combine items to make a basic "healing salve", next question is do we use skill A or B to give new effects, either an increased heal potency or perhaps a heal with a slight defense buff for X amount of time. Finished with the item now, do you need to use it now or store it for later?

    Maybe more complicated I admit, even I started looking at this like it may be too much, but as someone who loved the challenge of learning ASTs cards and remembering what cards do what under what affect, I can safely say I'd be giddy over a healer or dps that did the above. Though perhaps to much work for a healer when I look at it, of course having the basic cures like any other healer.

    but heres the twist you (the player) takes control of a BEAST so your camera focuses on the beast :3 while your normal body is a untargetable NPC until the beast is dead or something o3o ((just an idea to make it different then summoner))

As for me i keep hearing Red ,Blue mages as well as samurai and dancer classes all those sound good tbh though i'd also like to see something like an adapt or some sort of gunslinger that maybe uses a pistol in one hand and a one handed sword in the other (hopefully an energy sword if possible like in the game phantasy star universe not the SAO version) they'll have combat skills that can combine the use of a bard/mch but still able to use their pistol at close range while using their sword for melee.

    Agreed IF I could keep my charmed beast permenently. Beastmaster was annoying for me because I had to recharm and retame new beasts as they died. WoW's hunter was way better than beastmaster because of that.

    Beastmaster, but instead of using dual hand axes (like FFXI), use a long whip (Quistis-style) to attack. Should also be able to summon and command pets/familiars.
    You essentially become a ranged (using the whip) and your familiar/summon would be upfront melee, or vice versa. You can also swap enmity between you and familiar.
