I think its more of a, if people don't object to this, whats to stop them from implementing company only related quests in end game future.

I think this is kind of hurting the gameplay a little, but only if its for higher level content. Forcing people to main one class is ridiculous (my previous sentence did not make sense lol long day for me), even in XI the only thing stopping you from leveling every job in the game was inventory space. So i'm personally kind of pissed at the decision to have to pick thm or conj and main it in regards to companies. I just hope companies never really give that epic of gear anyway, like how conquest points didn't equate to awesome gear either.

    1. Players complain that Ul'dah is by far overpopulated.
    2. The dev team develops the Grand Companies and other incentives which encourage players to leave Ul'dah and migrate to the other 2 city-states for certain rewards, quests, etc..
    3. Players complain because if they stay in Ul'dah it means they lose out on rewards, quests, etc.. from other City-States.

    Am I understanding this correctly?

No, some people are arguing that, but what most people want is to be able to do stuff with their friends. Who's in an "all immortal flames" linkshell, no one unless they formed it after knowing about the companies, or they all decided on that, for some classes it will be better to go to other cities for your gear and needs, but if you make it where you can only do content with those from your company it limits how much content you can do with friends, how can you not see that point?

Yeah its just the caravan quests anyway. Its been said that if you participate with other companies on normal company quests, there will be extra rewards or something.

They wont, and if they do it might be something minor. We already know that the devs have stated that people will be able to participate with each other for the majority of company quests/material.
