There are plots left in Zodiark server, after seeing so many house free i decided to buy one for 2M just because i wanted to have 1, I wasn't in a hurry.
Houses are a waste of money and completely pointless. I don't see the big deal about it.
A group that was moving from one residence to another (Excalibooty) decided to demolish their home early. This caused such a hubbub with people camping their place that I was able to get the small house I was camping easily(it was in the same ward as my fc). Had to wait quite a while though as i was working on guesses for the timer.
If anyone from Ricochet FC is reading this...thanks.

Managed to snag the house I had been camping at on Jenova, a few seconds later and I would of missed it. Mist ward 1 seems to have been the only housing area to open up and people are still waiting for their chosen spots to unlock for purchase.
I hope you are all able to get the plots you've wanted <3
Nor do I, but a lot of people like playing Barbie's Dollhouse in their fantasy game, for whatever reason. Decorating and redecorating, trying to get whatever one is "best" according to their aesthetic.
The only practical use for a character house right now is the garden. And that's a hefty price to pay to be your own gardener. Of course, it may be the only recourse if your FC lacks a house or already has a full-time gardener.
lol What do you consider not "a waste of money" on this online game/hobby/pass time/fake fantasy world? Item repairs? You repair gear in order to keep playing (like everyone else) because you enjoy playing. People buy houses because they enjoy them. At the end of the day, everything you spend gil on in the game is for the same thing.
Pointless? Sure. To you. To many people. But I'm sure someone in your life thinks you playing this game is pointless and paying for the sub is a waste of money. Again... I assume you get joy out of the game therefore it's not pointless or a waste of money to you.

I got back late last night, did some roulettes.. Was about to go to bed when I remembered the reclamation and decided to look around. Nothing in Mist, a couple M/L in Goblet, 3 M/1 L in Lavender Beds. I really wanted a small in Lavender Beds, but my bond partner was thinking a M would be better, so we checked them out. We really liked plot 60 (which was open in 2 wards), so we combined gil and picked one up for about 37 mil. We're both down to about 1 mil now, but that should be easy enough to get back, and the house is wonderful. Can't wait to start gardening.
I've been playing since the launch of 2.0, I logged in today to see vultures in front of my house placard even though it had a sparkling clean stable, a full garden plot and starlight decor. What even suggested my house would be up for demolition?
Then they send nasty tells accusing me of squatting in a house I never use (idk event decor, garden and clean stable suggest heavy use to me) or ask/beg me to sell and get salty when I decline.
Calm your collective tits, don't take your frustrations out on legitimate homeowners. I'm sorry some people are greedy and want to play real estate tycoon, I hope you can get something in 3.3. I love my house, I want to keep my house, leave me in peace.

ya, its really hefty, you have to grow krakka roots for 3 weeks or a crop of blood peppers to get your ~4 mil back
totally not worth it [/irony]
