Maybe apartments will be somewhat like Mog Houses from XI. We'll just have to see.

SE should really consider what @Ashkendor said...private housing and fc housing should be in a different area instead of mixing them together. Me and my guildmates camp for 2 sleepless nights, and when we are all burn out decide to go to sleep KABOOM demolished start after 2 hours when we're in bed. We were so looking forward to get a house for our fc...
Gil is fake money that requires either real time or real money to have. Your point is moot.It sounds to me like you're saying SE should put housing in Mogstation.
That's a horrible, abysmal idea.
Gil is a fake currency and equating real life to a game is absurd. Why are you comparing real life to a game when the game issue is caused by the devs not thinking things through?

The forum is divided between those who have and those who have not. Majority of those who have are like SE white knight that see those who have not as low life that don't put enough efforts.
You're forgetting the third division of people. Those who accept reality.

So in other words, not you. The reality is that the devs made a mistake and must own up to it. And they are, in 3.3-3.4 by adding rooms everyone can personalize. Like it should have been day 1.
They didn't make a mistake, there giving the public what its crying for.A4: We have confirmed that we will be increasing the amount of land for existing housing areas in Patch 3.3. After this we’re planning to introduce mansion type housing, and housing in the Ishgard area. These two are being developed in parallel, but in order to meet everyone’s demand, we will implement the mansion-type housing as a first priority. Currently it’s being planned that one mansion will be able to hold 512 residences. As for gardening, we think this will be difficult, but we’re currently developing new pots that will allow gardening, so please look forward...
Check your self-entitlement and learn the difference,

They did. Even if I "worked hard" and earned a billion gil, I would not be able to get a house.
Something like housing should be a long term goal that necessitates the player to put forth some effort. I completely agree.
But what we have now is that effort doesn't matter because there is no more space due to hardware server limitations.
That is the error they have to address.
It's not an "entitlement, "me want house NAO!" issue" it's an "I want to have the chance to work for a house in my own time" issue.
Don't expect the rich to have any empathy.
They have, they feel good about having and the less people have alongside with them the better they feel in looking down on the ones that "not have".
False. I feel bad for the people that didn't get a chance to get themselves a house, the situation sucks. Yes, I have a house both for my FC and myself, and try to share it as much as I possibly can. It's far from a perfect system, but they ARE trying to better said system, it's not so much not having empathy, as those that don't have are looking at us with jealousy and are formulating this grand conspiracy of "the rich players are plotting against us to not allow us homes", which simply is not the case

I don't know if people only care with property, but I'm not really interest with housing if it ended up with dead neighbor around. I'm lucky enough beside my FC I have active FC neighbor that become spouse now lol.
Well that's my 2 gils.
