Of course people play multiple classes. That doesn't mean people don't have a favorite or main. I play a LNC, PUG, GLA, and ARC, and I've bought weapons from each of the Companies, but when it comes down to it I'm going with the Flames as I main Gladiator. Naturally, players will want to have gear available for that "main" class. There's always going to be players that won't adhere to that, but the majority most likely will.

There was actually a thread going a few days back, and a majority of the posters were going with the Maelstrom.
