I'm just going to say this. For whatever reason, my FC, LS's, server, open-worlds, instances, etc etc have been more lively than for such a long time ever since this relic dropped. I get that's it's the thing to complain about now. But if it was SE's intention to breathe some life into the world they created, than they succeeded admirably. If people really were hating it as much as they claim, they wouldn't be doing it. For chrissakes, it's not a job or a prison sentence. People can opt out. Which doesn't appear to be the case on my server. Just going by empirical evidence here in-game.

I really don't feel like debating the merits of this questline. IMO it's really no different than any other part pre-nerf. But my server is extremely active again. And for that... I'm kinda thankful.

Save the "white knight" BS please. I don't pretend to have anything to gain from voicing what is just my opinion.

Once again, yu're just another person making assumptions. I am perfectly willing to help people with crafted parts if and where I can for little or no gil. Sad that you think this is sad, speacialist crafting is just another layer of depth to a system that needed it. Now all it needs is more reason for us to have to craft things... this is a step in the right direction. These weapons are SUPPOSED to be a bitch to get and they are. We are right where we should be.

All in all, the grind isn't bad. I grind more when doing DoL leves than it would honestly take to finish the grind.

The phase 3/Crafting is all I've ever been upset with simply because Gil sinks to me are irritating. I hated the desynth part of Zodiac the same way for the same reason. And actually leveling my other classes to make it myself would take as much Gil and probably even more time than Gil grinding and buying it outright.

If it wasn't anouther Gil Sinks after taking several million to finish the last weapon then I'd be heading the defence of the Quest as well..

Yeah... the gil sink sucks. I won't lie. But if it helps out the crafters (who many of us often forget about or take for granted), then so be it. There's always a sticker shock when the new items are introduced (Tailor-Made Eel Pie, anyone?), but they ALWAYS drop to a more manageable level. So many ways to grind gil in this game, as well.

Sad thing is, since dungeons are my primary sorce of Gil that even a few hundred thousand is seriously dammaging to my funds. But I can hardly blame anyone else for that. More than a few other ways to make Gil, I just don't regularly participate in them.

Because no one ever does anything unpleasant of their own will! That's how the world works! Nice logical fallacy, bro. Some people still do it because it's (at least for 2 phases) an easier option than farming esos for 3 weeks for every class in the game. That doesn't mean it isn't lazy, uninspired, and flat-out not fun.

Why would I "forgive" a corporation? It's not a person, or a friend. Either they give me a reason to give them my money, or they don't. Since the last content has been crap, it's the latter. If they give me a reason I'll start subscribing again.

So much anger. "Nice logical fallacy, bro" Haha.. gotta love the internet and the Philosophy 101 army that mans it. And no... only an idiot would play a GAME that is not fun. Kinda goes against the very nature of gaming. Have to question why anyone would do it. And no.. this is not the "world" as you say. Again... a game. Move on to the 100,000 other gaming titles on any other platform that might bring you just a smidge more enjoyment.

Yoshi P. and Co., I forgive you.

Nope. Still a bit upset at the handling of Diadem and Relic.

The same thing I was saying as well, glad to see I'm not the only one! I mean, unfortunate situation is unfortunate, but at least I'm not alone with this exact opinion.

And was discussing with a friend earlier too... I told I'm still in the "routine" I've gotten myself in (the one SE has gotten me in?), the routine of doing the same things every day, the same things every week, because I "have to", to stay on top.... But everything has started to feel more and more like an actual chore, an actual real life job. And with that, the "routine" is thinning out, I feel less and less like wanting to log in, indeed when I'm logged in I often actually feel like I just want out - and that "routine" is gonna completely dissipate soon, if things don't change, and that's gonna be the time when I won't subscribe anymore.......... That's where I'm headed to, that's where many of us are headed to, because that's where the game is headed to; and this friend of mine I was discussing with it also agreed that "everything has been feeling like a chore. Tbh, there is very little fun that I am finding with things that I have to do when I log in. It's like I'm logging in to work every day" - his words, not mine.

I'm sorry, where does the game promise to give me, quite literally, endless amount of chores and real-world-like jobs to do? I sure have missed that description. And without that, a game, by definition, is primarly for the purpose of fun. If you want to be working when you log in - perhaps your real job doesn't satisfy you enough, perhaps you just love working, perhaps you don't have a job. Which are all fine, really. But don't be surprised when the masses who expect fun and get less and less of it as time goes on get angry. (Also, as pointed out, the forum might be full of mostly just the relic now, but this really isn't the issue, it's just an issue, the last straw, the current last straw, the [i]latest[/] example of what months of content-drought and copy-paste rehashes have been building up to.)

Dude, you're not even close to all-50, even, much less all-60. You have all the reasons to do FATEs if you love them so much. And no, we should not have to do these things, we should not have to do any type of content especially in the amount the Anima Weapon requires (especially after the 2.0 relic already required it in similar amount, and it was already hated back there). Having to do anything means we're forced to do it, and that should not happen - if a specific type of content is abandoned, that means there's something wrong with it, something which makes it not-fun, and that something should be fixed instead of ignored and given the "force the players to do it anyway" workaround. That's what my attitude would be if I was a dev, anyway (I think there was something about this too somewhere, a live letter, or a keynote or something? I'm not sure, but yeah).
On a sidenote, you're also at the point of being able to specialise, if I'm right... no wonder you have no issues with the specialist recipes.

Funny that every time I see someone vehemently defending the grind or the crafter aspect, it's always someone who just loves grinding ("I like it so you should too" / "I like it so I don't care"), always someone who's a crafter and can craft those things. Yeah.....
