    I don't really need you, or any one else, to tell me how to spend my time playing. I am fairly capable of choosing the content I can and want to do. Regardless of all of that, I don't see how that relates to the stats being uninteresting. Relic and A4S weapon, and everything else, should have more interesting stats.

    Do my dishes? LOL got a chuckle on that one. But seriously, it would be cool if they add some spice to it. A great example are the stats found in Diablo III. An OK example are the stats found in WoW. A poor example, similar to what we have but with more choice, is Guild Wars 2. Don't emulate Guild Wars 2.

    I've been wanting special statistics on gear ever since 2.0. If the original FFXIV game could have it, you'd think someone would've had the sense to translate it over. Then again, these are the same people who threw out the elemental wheel and homogenized every job into an indistinguishable grey slurry. Can't possibly add stats to make things more unique now, as people might have a reason to start caring again.

    In a perfect world, we MCH could get lunchbox glams to match our weapons, and even better, 2 handed firearms (rifles, proper muskets, etc.) with their own animation sets.

    I only completed to stage 2 of relic. Realization hit me just thinking the overwhelming grind that I was in for. I was already burnt out from the previous 2.0 relic quests, had completed 3 Zetas, before the quests were nerfed down. Even if I do go forward with it, they would be irrelevant once completed when next patch hits. Didn't seem worthwhile anymore considering how the Zetas wound up from time invested. Relics are not unique either to say the least.

You have to tow a very narrow line when it comes to this kind of development in order to preserve the value in the raid gear, if this grind wasn't as heavy as it is right now I think it would be even more insulting to the already insulted raided community.

    That being said, to add in such extreme additions is an incredibly large task for just one class, let alone thirteen. It would be something that would take much more than just three months to properly test and balance. I feel that they are starting to take the first steps in that direction, I think it's been very understated just how much of a difference having Materia slots on raid gear will be in 3.2, the increased ilvl alone will bring secondary stats back to the same weight it was in 2.2, and being able to have more control over that opens up a lot of possibilities that will need to be put to work when it happens.

    I'm not saying that more neatorino special effects on gear and materia wouldn't be unwelcomed, I just understand that such an addition cannot be made over night. I also feel that this game needs to take the time to fix the problems it already has before it goes out of its way to possibly create more of them.

    Unlike a lot of people here, I'm not keen on revisiting the "Aegis/Ochain PLD only" or "Gjallarhorn BRD or GTFO" days of XI. That's what awaits us if SE goes about this the wrong way. A ToTM-style quest series would be more desirable and would allow us to design the Anima weapon in ways that fit our playstyle (e.g. SMN Anima trials lead to a trait that gives each egi an aura for party members [Titan= Wall, Garuda=Manawall, Ifrit=Enfire]) rather than cause players with other weapons to be deemed useless by that other forum.

    People being totally and completely starved for any content and then filling party finder grasping at the new content on the first week to complete the first part of a quest that the majority will not have the stomach to actually complete is very VERY different than the design being good or fun.

    I would be against unique stats because most of the time, such things rarely amount to much and are really just fluff (like 5% chance for X to happen upon killing a monster, etc).

    However, considering that weapons are already tied to specific classes, the devs could probably implement skill bonuses into them. Although it'd take A LOT of work for them to not introduce a whole plethora of potential balance issues, and most definitely should not implement something that should have been used to rebalance the class in the first place. Should probably be limited to quality of life stuff. Like...

    - WHM: +20 to Shroud of Saints refresh potency
    - DRG: While under Blood of the Dragon, Enhanced Wheeling Thrust will always trigger after using Chaos Thrust, and Enhanced Fang and Claw will always trigger after Full Thrust. (This I think is pretty close to 'something that the base class should already have' though.)
    (I was thinking of something for Bards too, but all of them sounded like things that the base class should have already had. Class has quite the number of design problems IMO.)
