Anima Quest Bug - 'Soul Without Life' quest given twice. Unable to complete

1. Undertook 'Soul without Life' quest by handing in Zeta weapon to obtain crystals
2. Completed 'Soul without Life" Anima quest and received Animated Lunaris Rod
3. Upon receiving Animated Lunaris Rod cutscene finished
4. Ardashir had 2 new quests 'Toughening Up' and 'Soul without Life'
5. Accepted both quests and realised that 'Soul without Life' is the same quest I had just completed. )
6. As per quest I was sent to Rowena who then sent me to Syndony.
7. Syndony gave her speech about the crystals and the in game details about handing in a Zeta and FATES occurred
8. 'Soul without Life' quest icon shows as completed (green tick)
9. I then went back to Azy's Lla and spoke with Ardashir as per the quest
10. Ardashir has a completed quest icon above their head, when I click them they state "Welcome back, V'iuji. Were you able to acquire what we need?
11. I oress X on controller and text dissapears. Nothing else happens

The reason you couldn't complete the quest a second time, is most likely because you didn't get the nodules the second time. You still need to get a new set of nodules for every time you do the quest. You can't turn in items you don't have after all.

sorry to use this thread =/ anyone got any idea how to progress toughening up quest?

i have done everything equip the main weapon while queing up for DF/ tried solo cleared snowcloak yet quest log refused to progress next dungeon.

ive done this more than 10 times now its clearly a bug...no response from GM so idk what to do.

I can imagine two different things that may be happening:
1: You may be using the antiquated weapon instead of the animated one.
2: You didn't notice that it's telling you to do a different dungeon now.

If it's neither of those, I apologize. No offence intended.

ty for response ! i have animated main hand equiped but dunno why its refusing to register the clear of dungeon ...i guess ill just wait if i ever get response from GM.

Windows 7 version, heavensward digital download special edition, ffxivarr normal disc copy.

I am on Phoenix server I don't have a zeta so need to get all crystals.

I have accepted quest from Rowena, and talked to Syndony who gave the speach about finding the crystals. As soon as I had read all the speach and all text finished it showed the quest as complete with the npc listed above, I warped to Az and spoke to the quest finisher and of course I havn't got all crystals but the icon is showing as a completed quest to hand in to. However I have only so far collected one crystal from Azy's Lla fates so of course the quest is not finished but image wise the quest text is showing the green cloud wth tick in it as if it was completed when it shouldn't show this till i have collected the required crystals.

Are you still able to collect crystals with the green check mark? Asking because my blm friend hasnt been able to get a drop in the Churning mist for about 2 days of playing ( about 2-3 hour sessions each day). Could just be bad luck.

You can, my quest has been set to "green" even before I handed the crystals back. I still got the crystals fairly easily (matter of hours)

And don't forget, you don't hand the crystals directly to Ardashir in Azys La, but to the NPC in Mor Dhona, whom will give you the nodules, which you then hand over to Ardashir.

This part is a bit deceiving tbh.

Don't recall it actually "doing" anything. May have been a brief message on screen at the end, but that was it. The note in your Journal and the on-screen list will change to tell you to run the next dungeon though. Double check the text there to see if it is telling you to run the next dungeon. After like the 3rd or 4th one, you get short script with Ardashir outside the dungeon. Shows up again later on the 6th or 7th one too.

I started the quest with my war yesterday. I already have Coming into its own on whm started but figured I could use a 200 weapon for war. Anyway I trade my zeta in then head to Alyz Alla and get the next quest. They give me the quest to do the dungeons but not the weapon to do them with. SO know I have Toughening Up for Warrior, but no animated Parashu to do it with.
I'm not seeing this as a known bug anywhere and I'd like my zeta back to start over it its a real bug. I put a bug report in yesterday but haven't talked to a gm or anyone since.

Thanks for the follow up. It was definitely a case of bad luck. Working on the 170 weapon now with my blm friend.
