Unless I'm mistaken, leveling roulette excludes all dungeons that naturally reward poetics/laws. Only Level 50/60/Expert roulette do.

So it's just 100 laws from roulette + bonus gil/xp if there's a new person present.

The roulette itself gives you Law & Poetics if you are on a level capped (60) class. It gives you different rewards if you are on a leveling (1-59) class.

So, yes, people do run this (and other roulettes effected by this pattern) on their level capped characters for the tomes. Been running into them like crazy. Got the Library today for my leveling roulette with 3 other level 60's at i200+. That poor dungeon didn't even know what hit it.

Please take note, SE: By forcing players to rerun old content beside those who might be newer to it, you've created the "Mythflox" mentality all over again. Just wait til players start getting kicked on entry for not being the "optimal" job to run it quickly.

This is history repeating itself now. Not sure about anyone else, but I was certainly enjoying the game a LOT more before relics (and some of the bad player attitudes) were brought back. . .

Yeah, you have to be flexible. If you're a high level tank, there's nothing wrong with pulling just the quick normal path. But if someone, or the majority, wants the exp, you should be respectful of that too.

Leveling Roulette does not provide Poetics, nor do any of the dungeons contained within it.

Main scenario roulette is more hostile than ever due to the Anima quest-line requiring Poetics for two of the four items, to the point where I'm willing to forgo a potential 240 Poetics just to keep my sanity. To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure what Square Enix was expecting here.

Yeah, I had bad experiences with this too. I was leveling a war with leveling roulette, gotten cutter's cry and 2 people who were doing anima quest, looking for tomes. They refused to kill more stuffs to get exp, belittled me and told me that I was wasting their time.

I'm all for running the entire dungeon for new people. Especially since I've taken to running DF a bit more now as a tank and luckily my experiences so far have been decent or better. I guess people forget their roots too soon, being the new guy and having everyone else stronger and more knowledgeable than yourself (unless you joined Closed Beta and such and were first) but even then, as I did join CB, I am still for helping the new people.

Knowing most people, probably not. I just ran AV thanks to leveling roulette, we burned down all the seedlings, wasn't until the last room full of em, with only 1 patch behind the goldvine left that the Blackmage says "Why didn't you let them spawn for more exp" to which we all turn to him and say "Why didn't you say you needed it?" I personally wanted it done but would have let em.

On that note, the baby morbols at the boss DO NOT GIVE EXP so don't try to be cute and let them spawn before killing them because your healer will not be able to handle it.

(Ran into that last night. Halone's frozen bits that was awful.)
