Suggesting that someone who is fairly apparently burned out should take a break and come back when they are refreshed is NOT telling them just to leave.

Maybe you did not actally read what I posted, because you have repeatedly paraphrase and mischaracterized my comments in a fairly negative manner. My suggestion to take a break if you are burned out is out of consideration of the player who may be burned out as well as those around them. What point is there in someone who is unhappy and bored to continue banging their head against the same wall when they can easily take a break to refresh themself and come back full of energy again? How does it help anyone to continue doing something that bores and annoys them?

With regard to negativity and it's effect on others. I believe this is a fairly well documents aspect of group dynamics and psychology. Personally, I've seen the cancer of negativity tear apart statics, groups of friends and free companies. It is a real problem, both in virtual settings as well as real life.I have seen the impact in real life also, it's not pretty. But, go ahead and be angry with me for posting my thoughts in a civil manner, that's your pergoative.

Why would someone get burned out? The point is the same content over and over is causing the burnout. That isn't a player issue that is a game issue. The only time it becomes a player issue is when there are alternatives but the player refuses to participate. It is very clear and can not even be argued that SE has just been recycling content since 2.0 released. Hell even some of the "new" content is basically recycled content from XI. Trying to say take a break instead of actually trying to fix the issue and having absolute faith that SE knows what they are doing is white knighting. If people didn't complain you wouldn't even have the remake we have today.

SE has already proven that they can make mistakes and has proven that listening to the fans/customers is the right thing to do. SE doesn't want you or anyone else to take a break even suggesting it is absurd, especially when suggesting it to counter burnout from a flawed development model. Don't sweep issues under the rug. Point them out. Work together, or one day you will find yourself in the same situation. You obviously haven't been playing that long. Most the people saying there is no issue haven't been playing very long, so you most likely will not have experienced burnout yet, but if you keep playing you will unless you let it be known that you are not happy with recycled content over and over and over again.
