    While I'm reading all these posts I'm glad I can always log in to FFXI and use my Mythic 119 with the knowledge: I can use this weapon for the rest of my FFXI career.

    On topic: I never understood why people grind all these dungeons while there is absolutely no variety in dungeon design. The only thing that changes is the graphics and slightly the mechanics of the bosses, but the fights can all be described as 'just evade stuff and deal damage/heal/tank'. I'd really wish for more open world content and more difficult fights like Thordan Ex. I've done the new expert roulette dungeons exactly once.

    Why not add a special kind of zones/raids/dungeons for the new weapons with all kind of stuff like (hard) boss fights, grinding normal mobs for drops that are needed for the upgrade, special materials gathered exclusively in that zone and/or dropped by bosses. There are so many possible ways of doing this, I wouldn't even care if the zones are copy/paste areas like in XI as long as the content itself has variety and is fun to do. Even Dynamis is/was way better than this.

    Creating new content for the relic on top of what they do now is asking for the impossible. Implementing it into existing or along side new content in a patch is the only possible way for them to do this, but they seem to be in a nasty habit of releasing the relic all by itself in a patch so it has to reuse old content that people have played to death. The reason they do this is to keep people subbed.

    We all have our personal reasons as to why we don't like a certain part of this; mine is I detest Alex for my own reasons, but I think the problem that sums it up for most is the lack of creativity and not the amount of work. IMHO I think they should have just released the first 2 parts and then incorporated the 3rd step into 3.2 content as an i220 weapon. That way the content would have had higher quality and we might have gotten something a bit better to keep the rage at bay in 3.15.

    This is what Diadem should have been, but they completely dropped the ball on that.
