Nay. Even when they allow customizable stats, there's a good chance the new weapons available in 3.2 etc will have a a choice with spell speed on it anyway.

Even if you could have customizable stats I doubt they'll let you say basically put Spell Speed on the Anima BLM weapon and have 100+ spell speed on it. They'll put some dumb cap on it like only allowing a number of stat increases up to lvl 5 materia. Similar to the Zodiac scroll with 75 materia. Which the build I had added only around 44 Spell Speed when before the weapon had none at all.
But if you are all about crit and det then I guess the weapon is for you.
Unfortunately for me I feel the best value for BLM at the end of the day is Spell Speed. More spells, more mobility, more options.
I am missing my ss.

It should be an upgrade if you don't have another 210.
Yoshi-P is doing his best and is patching Endwalker. Please wait warmly until it is ready.

Nope the eso weapon is even better, i plan on doing tests however.
I know the War and DK weapon is pretty good![]()
lol kinda the same deal for Drg and Nin and all the other jobs except those who get their desired stats on it like War, Sch, etc etc
Will I use it? NO
Will I try to obtain it though? Yea...
Will I grind my ass off for it? HELL NO

BLM anima, from what I understand, is 109 Int, 103 vit, 97 det, 71 crit.
The other i210 options on the Lodestone are both 105 damage, so I presume the anima is as well. They also have that same 109 int and 103 vit.
That means the three weapons only differences are the secondary stats .. 97 det 71 crit on anima, 102 spell, 68 det on lunaris, and 102 crit 71 spell on Gordian.
From what I can find (https://dervyxiv.wordpress.com/), the stat weights are WD 6.726, Int 1.000, det 0.246, crit 0.246, spell 0.281. That means the totals for *just the secondaries* on the three weapons are :
lunaris : 45.39
Gordian : 45.043
anima : 41.328
That's assuming that the Int and WD are the same for the three weapons. If the WD is even 1 point better on the anima though, then it will win out in numerical theorycrafting. Or is there something I'm not seeing?

Int and weapon damage are the same on all three 210 weapon variants.

The thing with Spellspeed is that it's use is greatly limited on...let's call them "mid-stages". Once you have enough to cast one more spell in your rotation, it's a huge increase in DMG, but anything between that stage and the next (one more skill in the rotation again) is pretty much lost except for the slight increase in DoT dmg.
I'm down to 590 SS now with the Anima pre-version equipped, and I can still pull off the same rotation as I did with about 100 SS more. But since I have 64 Crit and 26 Det more than before, of course my DMG went up through the weapon change. I just need to be on my toes a bit more to not mess up my rotation, since I have a bit less leeway now.
Now of course if I stacked more SS in other equipment slots, I could get to the point where, with Lunaris, I could pull of a different rotation. But those 102 SS are pretty useless by themself, so for anyone in a similar situation, the relic might be the better option too.
