old noose!! we knew that XD But people dont really want it.By what we can see at that AF image, BRD might indeed be ARC's job...it will "open" the harp into a bow.

Check out the bow the dude is using near the DRK/DRG...it's actually a harp....it has multiple strings at upper side.
Ya, It might be arcs job BUT wouldn't you rather be doing stuff like this?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vfh-1n68WL8 Its just too awesome......
I liked it! ^^ But if bards were garlean they would be using gunguitars instead! but i'm worried about its offensive power...in FFXI BRD was OP but it wasn't actually able to use the song buffs to itself as well as other classes would...and here it would be coming from the most powerful class actually...even though harps might have a stupid low attack, it might be "complicated" to balance due AEC's native buffs...even with a crappy weapons, if they use an offensive gear and offensive buffs it might once again be an OP job...probably stronger than COR was in FFXI.
Well unfortunately its probably too far in development and since SE have barely passed anything to us, its probably all set in stone, thus w/e we want will not happen and only their idea/vision will prevail.
And I still think it will end up being an XI clone in the end as its the simpliest way. It may go from Arch to Bard and use bows but most likely you either
1. Switch to harp
or
2. Bows with harps have low atk and stats relating to Bard. And by "Switch" I mean similar to how you can equip shield but it doesnt do much unless you actually hit "Guard" so it could be similar to this.
But that would mean an current over powered class gains a overpowered buffer would be some serious multi-tier powered class lol. And as SE QA sucks complete balls at balancing it will be a disaster.
Maybe they've thought about this, maybe I am wrong completely and it will be something we have no idea about.
Indeed. Because the problem would still be the same...multishot. If BRD can keep ARC's STR, and load on Attavk, even if the base attack from harp is low, by stacking raging strike with an potential attack bonus song (i can't remember a bard in any FF that wasn't able to boost damage with song) and attack materia in every slot...it's easy to imagine the rest of the story. He buff the PT whileloading multishot then beng the mob down when its ready.
Anyway...i'm really curious to see the jobs...even though i'm already with the "FFXI Clone" comment set, i still have hope that maybe it's not the case. Maybe it does is just a brand new mechanics and the AA, AF look, job-specific actions, 2hrs actions and a restriction regarding higher rank actions cross-class usability (it SO looks like we will be able to use only cross-class actions that are up to half of your class' rank...) are just "coincidence" ^^:
for anyone that played XI
..... bells incoming...
They can even make this into a DoH DoL idk what you would put it as. But while your just sitting around, you can entertain people and yourself. I don't know, I know se would never do something like this, but it would be a great implementation though. I would just like a flute and play my own songs.
Can't wait for MABINOGI 2!
BUMP for justice!!
On a serious note..
I think SE should release some info about next classes and their roles.
And hopefully, hopefully hopefully they can implement some more gameplay.
All I want is gameplay that is not related to:
a)Kill stuff non-stop (grinding)
b)Spam buttons for crafting non-stop (crafting)
I want something I can enjoy with my friends. Something I am able to sit down (in game) talk to my friends and have a nice time. Something that is not related to levels and more about lifestyle. I think that would make the town feel alive!
To add a little more challenge into the game, anybody remember a game called Frets on Fire? Try putting THAT idea into playing a bard in an mmo, now that'd be challenging!
Here's a picture about how to play mmo instrumental style! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_WqmNfVGKAl...retsOnFire.jpg
