It's a MMO, there will always be people out of the team, that's why I also mentioned LS, because instead of complaining that they are left behind, people can actually try to form new group/meet people/have fun in game.
Yoshida still didnt understand that THIS IS A F...ing GAME. Its not a job or something like that. If I login into the game I want to enjoy and get fun, relax myself etc. I hope everyone inside here have a life and cant stand 8-12 hours online the game just to get a Weapon
With this new BIG Farm/grind step is just like I dont have nothing else to do in my life then the Relic Quest (and even if I play many hours we will have this Relic after 1-2 months). We have to remember another thing.. the new patch (with new weapons iLv 210+) will come in February and when you finally get the Relic saying "YEAH I FINALLY DID IT, I HAVE MY iLv 210 Relic Weapon" you immediately think "Oh well if I kill XXX in that Trial I will take a free 210+ .. what now with this junk?"... so I hope Yoshida will understand this. This is a game and not a Job etc. If you are going to do this shitty decision players will quit the game and going to play something else (and you can tell me "Well, quit the game, so why are you here to say this?" ... well I like this game, I like the FF Sagas and FF XIV is one of the best MMO I played in my entire life and I dont like to see it getting ruined by some wrong decision just because they want money... I'm still paying for this anyway).
Just looking forward this Yoshida ... dont ignore our tips and, maybe, just listen Japanese Community. We are players too like them and if we dont like something just try to understand us.
I've started to work on an Animus... the issue I have, isn't so much about the amount of grinding required, but the fact that you have to keep grinding the same things so damn much!
Apart from grinding Law/Poetics, you are pretty much forced to farm Alex Normal Mode and Beast tribe quests over and over and over...
Why not allow more ways to get the items? For example:
- Crystal Tower / Syrcus Tower / World of Darkness (Quest to do all 3 once per week, to get maybe 2 items)
- Old Primal Focus Quest (1 item per week)
- Add a new Primal Focus Quest (Kill Bismark, Ravana, Thordan EX for 2 items per week)
- PVP (1 item per 5 rounds of frontlines, maybe? Or let you buy them with Wolf Marks)
- Void Ark (1 a week, and maybe you could choose to spend your Farthing on another?)
Theres plenty of stuff to do in 3.1, so why make us have to do Alex normal and the old Beast tribe quests 100000 times? :/
They wouldn't even have to come up with a whole new quest for bis/rav/thordan since that'd probably have delayed the patch another month or two, just let us trade in the weapon tokens and while they're at it they could've let us trade in manifesto pages we don't have a use for as well. I'll just wait until they change something, I haven't touched alex story since August and they're not getting me to go back in there with this.- Crystal Tower / Syrcus Tower / World of Darkness (Quest to do all 3 once per week, to get maybe 2 items)

I think there's alot of us in this boat. I've taken what everyone is saying to heart. If you dont like it, then dont do it. A i210 weapon isnt gonna break you if you have an i205 weapon. Additionally, this quest is gonna provide next to zero practice for anyone experienced in their jobs, its just a grind with no meat to it.They wouldn't even have to come up with a whole new quest for bis/rav/thordan since that'd probably have delayed the patch another month or two, just let us trade in the weapon tokens and while they're at it they could've let us trade in manifesto pages we don't have a use for as well. I'll do it later if they nerf it, but until then i'll just work on getting a thordan wep then have fun doing some raiding with my "inferior" weapon that will still outgear the current content. Let the ones who don't enjoy raiding have their content. If someone wants to grind out nearly 80 hours of dry and boring content for a measly 10 ilvl's on a weapon then let them.
I want to thank SE and Yoshida for adding the Relic questline like this. I will be doing Phase 1 and 2 then enjoy the holiday and do Phase 3 if they nerf it in 3.4-3.5.
Why are people complaining about the high prices for the crafted materials?
Don't you need like 30-60 days just to get the other stuff? Do you really think the prices stay as high as this for 4-8 weeks? Lol.
The part from armorer for the alchemist-craft costs about 250k in hq on the market board. The alchemist-craft itself costs about 1,5-2 Mio. now.
I could buy those plates for 250k and sell the alchemist-stuff for 350k and would still make profit (a small one, but still).
Since there is nearly no demand for those items for the next weeks, unless you are one of those who get their 4x20 items in 1-2 weeks (lol), you will see prices drop a lot.
So the very first day new content gets released you decide it's not worth doing it untill it gets nerfed and you think everything's fine with it?
not really nothing to do in the game...its just pointless to do them...i ignore everything that doesnt give me eso cause they are no benefits to me whatsoever. Whats got me kinda pissed is that they used alex normal as a means to grind for relic..why the hell didnt they use coils, so much fun to be had there in old content...ive been farming alex normal since it came out months ago....now se wants me to farm it even harder....thats just screwed up on all kinds of levels
