Its the point of it, to be long. It even says so in the patch-notes.
But I guess, as usual, people rants over not being able to get something in less than 10hours.
Anima Weapons Quests
Anima Weapons can be enhanced further by completing the story quests that will be added in future patches. Please note that enhancing these weapons may require players to invest a significant amount of time.

Soooo many salty players.
210 weapons should take a long time to get. Do you guys think that a4s is something that most people walked up to and got a 210 weapon from it within a few weeks?
You guys just want everything too fast. Also, I am sure by mixing up the way you grind that the weapon can still be obtained faster than some of you are making it out to be. Either way, this is the choice you guys made, you want to grind relics rather than face down a4s for your 210 weapons. Enjoy the grind.

I don't think the spirit of the quest is in question, its the laziness in execution and the sheer scale of it. Relic weapons have always been a more steady-paced quest that required more patience, but less of a raiding team or group effort. It was something gained by the players grit instead of a groups. Now though I have to rely on either my grind as a crafter, or rely on a group to craft items for me. Additionally, many people don't do beastmen quests as they are somewhat grindy for little rewards. It's not structure, but the scale of it all.
It's kinda a big snub to the casual playerbase too. Savage weapons were out of their reach before, and now so is the relic. Many people are only capable of playing 4-5 days a week for a few hours and that is not nearly enough time to even come close to completing this by the next patch.
I'm gonna plug away at it slowly while I do other stuff, but I could really care less if i have the shiny new thing. I can really see why this would be so frustrating, especially to those that can't play more than an hour or two a day.
as someone who raids a lot (and last raid we were on 2% on a4s) i find this really... overwhelming...
I need to do 400 a1 and a2 runs to get all the drops from there, then be able skip a3 (law from a1 and a2) and then 80 of a4s. + god-knows-how-much-gil for the crafted items.
And am blackmailed by SE, because at some point there is a good probability that i will need the relic (or some iteration of it).
Can you please help the raiders to obtain it a little easier, like making savage runs drop 10/5 x of them but at a cap (once a day/week).

The awesome thing is, Thodan weapon takes like a few days, is only 5 ilevels weaker and is an acceptable alternative to obtaining a good weapon. Less time than relic, less difficulty than A4S, I'd say being down 5 ilevels is a fair tradeoff and an acceptable alternative.

Okay, there's things that take up our time and aren't daunting.
This is... A little insane.
And I've no crafts either. How do I get the crafted items, SE? Geez...
with regret I'm gonna have to agree.
I was not expecting an easy farm but not such a colossal grind. To the point I'm gonna have to take a break from crafting to do as many alex as I can.
The main problem is the last step (crafting hq is a fantastic idea so keep it that way) My solution for this will be
Instead of 20x 4HQ I'll probably do:
10x items 4HQ

RMT is gonna have a field day with this.

Someone has completely forgotten how they did the level 50 relic. They will nerf it in subsequent patches so those who can't dedicate that much time will be able to get it quicker.
