    I don't think it's dying, there's a lot to do but I understand your frustration with everything. The game is actually pretty fun. Still, I think with these Relics there was never a point where if you got it, you could do something with it. Instead of just more damage. I think it relates to the stats not being so in depth, and there not being a lot of customization and horizontal progression. Instead you feel like if you work hard, by the time you're done there's another step or something else easier to obtain that does about the same thing so why bother?

    So right now if you got your relic and stood beside someone near or at the same ilv as you, you couldn't eyeball a difference you would have to get down to the numbers. In 11, if you worked for a relic you were bad bad mofo. You deserve it too if you worked that hard.

    I wouldn't compare so much to 11 in terms of fights. It was fun, but it was the gear and the enhancements that made me go "My play style will change with this." but otherwise you're setting up the MB and throwing as many spinning dives as you can at something. Then again I stopped a bit after Abyssea. Someone dies, tractor them and then kneel to heal for MP..go look at old Sky fights. The quests weren't that great either "The guy went somewhere up to the north." ...what's north? Death. Come back "Good job buddy listen I don't have a lot of cash but..here's..300G. Sound good?"

    If you try to do everything you are going to go insane with anger, if you don't take a breaks same deal. There's been times I've said "I'm going to craft this!" then look at it..to craft this I need to craft something else..which requires another craft, that requires me to gather something that is only up every hour..just for one ingredient needed out of 4.

    Still, I put the game down go hit up real life come back and go "I love my Roe..I don't like the people but I love this game" I always said if I quit it's because of the people and not the game, so far that stands to be true.

    Well the servers got more desert and unpopulated, all the queues for DF are deadly long. So yeah the game isnt really doing well and dont expect SE will market it so. They are so desperate losing subs that they increased the free days on christmas for people who wants to come back. They are cutting down prices on mogstation.

    Game as it is is just a redundant cycle of mindless non-fun grinding over and over, repeated with patterns that go on since 2.x. Its quite unacceptable since there are many f2p games that offer even more.
    But the problem is. it started to be not fun. I play since alpha 1.0. And im honestly on a verge of totally uninstalling this for good.
    Its astonishing how bad the development of this franchise went, i'd never expect. While the graphic, the environments and the design of most of the game is quite amazing, the content is horrendous. And yet they lost another occasion to make something fun, unique. They just have moments of good developing, primals are an example of good content.

    All the primals are amazing fights and good design, cant say the same for almost the other 80% of the game.
    Its just..disappointing, to be honest i think they will soon feel how much the userbase is annoyed by the direction their development has taken, we'll see.

    As far as it goes for me, im deciding these days since my sub will run off on jan, but there is absolutely nothing appealing to do in game anymore, im bored as hell to run level 30 dungeons for a relic. Fates are horrible design content, its just stupid and poorly developed since start. Grinding isnt fun, while it could have been fun for example into grinding a primal or a different content. Not just grinding numbers for the sake of it, because that is what it is. Tomestone grinding..come on lol. really? Enough of this crap already. been years.

    SE thinks they can just keep releaseing the same content over and over through out the patches and this game will keep being successful over and over again

    my queues are pretty fast even for DPS solo queue. but nope lets just ignore that and claim the game's dying for the 50000th time.

    And yes I agree about the relic quests.

    I just had a grind fest in Sea of Clouds for over 2 hours and only got 1 crystal :/ I didn't even start with grinding fates in other area's.


    This new relic grind really sucks. I wish that at least we could do lowbie dungeons or something like that to help out new players and help ourselves get those crystals.

    Still, rng sucks

    It's not an expectation of a .05 patch though is it? The Relic Quest was something that was meant to come much sooner, something that was promoted to us pre 3.0 as a piece of great new content we would be getting. I don't think people were expecting anything amazing, a bit of story with some simple instanced fights like the 2.0 relic and a few grindy bits in between would been enough. Instead we have ended up with a watered down rehash of 2.0's relic quest, but at least that started off well, this one hasn't even been able to salvage that.

    I guess the relic quest is just becomes another contributing factor towards 3.0 being a let down.

    Just to clear things up i am not quiting the game. I am disapointed and wondering when we will have actuall contect to support a relic system, the answer is simply we won't.

    There is still chance for this game but the developrs need to wake up from their slumber. we have protested before, that fates are not the asnwer to everything, nor is doing 1 year old dungens again and again hundreds of times fun.

    Look at wow, and look how many bosses there is in a single raid, we have only 4 bosses in total, and 2 of them are not acceessable for 95% of the player base cause they cant meet dps check of A3S.

    The game has hope, but the devlopers need to focus more on content and not just music/graphic design of beutifull but brainless dungens.

    here is a simple example of content they can do but , never thought of it. if we look at ff14's sister , ff11 released 2002, in 2013 had an expansion with 2 new jobs. rune fencer and geno mancer. they didnt rehash their relic quest with old contect. they didnt even have a single relic quest to accomidate both jobs. each job has it's own uniqe relic quest, it's own boss fights. look here for runfencer quest http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/R...c_Armor_Quests

    this is simply, an enfort they could have done but choose easy route of grinding fates old dugnengs.

    for me, i am not gona bother with this relic quest, at least not for now, not untill i see a reason for doing it. cause atm its a mindless grind.

    I don't know if the game is dying or not, but it has finally driven me away. I was a staunch supporter of XIV over the years. I stuck with it all throughout 1.0 and up until now. I really loved the game, but it's apparent to me now that there is no creativity left and I find no enjoyment in playing it anymore. I wasn't terribly interested in the relic quest line in general, but seeing the insane level of content rehashing and nothing but endless, unfulfilling grind has given me no hope for the future of this game. I'd love for things to change, for things to turn around for the better, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm throwing in the towel.
