A positive thread about the relics.

only positive thing i can even come up with is by the time they become relevant and worth doing all the old parts will probably be super nerfed

Yeah but the last few stages always remain unnerfed--so you might be able to get it to i210 quickly, but by then i220 and i230 weapons will be out and there will be a new grind more or less equivalent* to this to get it up to 220 and then 230.

*Might be a huge gil sink or something instead but you know.

Well long grind aside (because relic grinding has always been simple to warrant all these complaints) I am absolutely loving the look of the Awoken Deathbringer and will proceed to glamming the living crap out of it onto my current weapon when I get my grubby hands on it.

This all goes down the toilet if you ever finish step 3 though. And to my knowledge, there;'s no option for replicas yet.

Im not a fan of super long grinds anymore, mind you I used to be fine with them many moons ago!!, but as I have matured over the years, I have come to value my time a lot more towards things and people that truly that matter. (since no game achievement is worth squat...ever....it just isn't lol)

But anyway..that said, I am thankful that they offered a variety of avenues to obtain most of the items, I can choose which areas of gameplay I want to do in order to obtain the items, instead of one type of content only, that, I do appreciate.

Like I posted in another topic, if you're a fresh lvl60, it's, without a doubt, the quickest way to obtain an i200 weapon, even without trading a Zeta, saving both tomestones of Law and tomestones of Esoterics.

Yeah... on the one hand, I can understand the negative feedback. On the other hand, they actually said in interviews it was going to be just like the relics after 2.0. Not really mad at SE myself, I'll just be ignoring it and continuing on.

On the other hand, with enough feedback, it could potentially change into something I actually want to do in the future. So I can't complain about the current tide of feedback either. But I'm with you-- The time just isn't worth it.

Even the intial relic quest in 2.0 was indefinitely better than starting straight up with an Atma grind. There's no trials, no lore, and an entire step is dedicated to revisiting 2.0 content in a way that it doesn't even enliven the participation, because you can do it unsynced.

Could say they literally meant just that, the relic steps after the intial one. Even though I'm sure ther was countless feedbacks to the dislike of Atma and animus fates. In which case they jsut decided to mill out the good parts that was well received, and kept the bad that no one really liked (which is an incredibly backwards thinking when it comes to designing content)
