If you want a game to do the same thing over and over and over than go play candy crush because I hate that my fave genre is being ruined by the lowest common denominator

Yes it is disappointing there is nothing new along these lines included as a part of this new relic. They really need to reconsider how they handle this in the future. Obviously it takes development dollars to do but that should be part of what our subs are paying for.
HEY THEY ADDED THIS RUBBERBAND MINIGAME IN THE PATCH, IF YOU DON'T ENJOY IT, THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM!!I don't know how anybody can defend these methods when SE could easily give us ways that are at least some what entertaining. Nobody is asking for things to be handed to them.
We just want them to stop catering to the lowest common denomjnator.
It's a RELIC WEAPON. It should be obtained by completing feats of strength. Slaying epic monsters. Completing an epic quest. Exploring me elands.
Not killing endless a mounts of low level trash
THIS IS WHY WE PLAY RPG GAMES
The logic of these forums so far seem to be and that would probably derail to be...
But have you done all positions? achievements? did you get all ruberband colors? hey, it might be the most boring content in history but, it's content!
The only excuse it is giving me is to unsub and uninstall the game. Se went too far on that one and I lost any hope of them coming to their senses. It's a grind, but honestly this gives me an excuse to actually go through and do the rest of the beast tribe quests.
I'm going to say what I said in the other thread.
It will take you a couple months doing an hour's worth of dailies you were probably already doing anyway. The most efficient way is to a bit of each: beast tribes, Alex, law. That keeps it interesting and doesn't bog you down doing any one thing repeatedly.
If you want it NOW NOW, then it does suck, yeah. But I think it was designed to suck if you were to grind it out over the course of a few weeks.
The main problem is that it will be outdated by the time you get it unless you rush it. This is an ASSUMPTION, however. It's based on the way gear goes in the patches based on past experience, but we've not had a relic in 3.xx yet. It may become/remain BiS for the rest of 3.xx, scaling with the savage drops, maybe surpassing them after a series of tasks released each patch. Maybe after getting the initial weapon, the remaining patches will be less grindy or time intensive. We don't know, but that would be similar to what happened in 2.xx, so I think there's a good chance.
IF the 3.2 patch notes indicate that there will be weapons better than this and this was just filler until 3.2 since 3.1 was generally a flop, then yeah, get pissed then. That's more than fair. But we simply don't know that's the case yet. In fact, wait until 3.2 if you want to potentially not waste your time/money. That's also a legit option. Compaining and wanting a nerf? Eh, I'm not seeing it.
the first people will have it after 1 week anyway
I mean to be honest I've come to see this games model ISNT going to change. I play it mostly for the story now after being let down patch after patch,
I'm going to complete the relic grind because I want the relic but I will not enjoy it for the most part. As I rarely enjoy grinding tomes.
There's just no innovation. It's just a cash grab and hook at this point as they're afraid to do anything new
Wow. I truly intended to get two of these relics and spent the past monthish grinding out a 2nd Zeta. I might have well just spent that whole time shooting myself in the foot, it seems like that would have been a better waste of my time.
We've basically been running the exact same content since 2.0 just retextured
