Cash shop is optional. They were talking about things obtainable through things you actually do in the game.

Giving us something to do shouldn't mean putting in such a mindless grind for absolutely no reward in the end- they could have made this more interesting by adding better lore, better *methods* to obtain what was needed. Instead we have repetitive grinding that is going to kill anyone's desire to keep going. Only people with the time/in-game money/networks of people to help can actually make any headway into this, and this is just the first step. Even the original zodiac path wasn't this hellish and that was a painful grind on its own.

the atma , old dungeons , and then the last step grind Alex , farm poetics (lawl old 2.0 currency) / law / ESO , or beast tribes u can mix it? yeah that doesnt make it more fun...

at least they arent asking for crafting mats , or materia ugh...

As bard the anima weapons is only +crit - det than thordan weapon...not even +1WD ..

the answer for the anima is dont do it....unsub and come back in 3.2 , farm the new primal for easy 210 weapon. Or maybe dont even look back....

Good one, I have to mindlessly grind all of the dungeons to get every role to 60, play a mini game that i already hammered to death in FF8, or do basic crafting rotations to have experienced the game properly, all of that stuff is fluff anyway... I've been playing since Beta, I cleared and sold every Primal and Coil when they were relevant, built a well known raiding FC on your server, but no I guess I haven't experienced the game enough.

By the way the Kirin mount is 2.0 content and yes I have it and I will have the 210 Savage weapon really soon so there's no way I'm touching this joke of a questline.

That's the point. It's to give us something to do while there is lack of content, thus making is as lengthy as possible. If you don't want to do it, you don't have to.

That's true, I'm also glad they are fun as well to do, I mean, Atmas?, 2.0 Dungeons? roughly 800 ALEXANDER RUNS? Beast Tribe Quests!? awesome crafting items from glorious 3.0 crafting?

Not a question of being a white knight but his/her points are valid no less. Those who complain there is nothing to do cause they don't want to engage in a myriad of things there are to do isn't the fault of SE per se. I'm always busy with stuff to do. That's not to say people have to enjoy certain things but just because some offer a different perspective on content available doesn't make them a white knight. I still need time to digest this grind and have to decide if it's worth it.

The one thing that turns me off the worst is that for those who actually decide to go ahead with this and work their booties off will only find that at some point down the line their work will be for naught when SE nerfs the content to death like the current Zeta. If you're going to have a grind, make it worth it for those who do it by not nerfing it in the least.

I don't know how anybody can defend these methods when SE could easily give us ways that are at least some what entertaining. Nobody is asking for things to be handed to them.

We just want them to stop catering to the lowest common denomjnator.

It's a RELIC WEAPON. It should be obtained by completing feats of strength. Slaying epic monsters. Completing an epic quest. Exploring me elands.

this was the one thing that had kept me subbing to the game, i quit wow for a good 3-4 months putting me behind in my raiding scene there because i wanted to give this game another try with its expansion even after yoshi said to the community hey yeah im sorry bout atma's it hurt i wont do it again and what do we get, this is nuts I dont even have my zeta and as rough as the grind to get all those crystals is knowing that its gonna be cake compared to the final step. if i could id slap him across the face and if i start it on one job i have to finish it on that job ... seriously whos to say my main job is gonna be the same in 7 months after farming this out. no thanks sorry my sub has literally 7 days left on it. id rather play WoW then this. at least when they sent you on farm quests for your legendary item... ring... cloak it put storyline into your hands not just hey go fetch me blah blah.
