My connection is always the same. Im not saying mudras has been changed on every server, maybe just on Ragnarok or choas servers ( european).Correlation doesn't imply casualty. It could have been that your connection was performing better during that time period. The mudras for me (as tested last night 11/26/15) worked good. Wayyyyyyy better than they did before the original hotfix. It should be noted that it said depending on latency and connections some player will still experience lag. Is there a data center closer to where you live? If not have you though about WTfast?
Even other ninjas on ragnarock feel that, im not the only one on this server with this lag
Since mudra's are a game code thing it is impossible(!) that one server has a different algorhythm than an other one. Also, nope, I'm on chaos too and mudra's are as smooth as ever.
You know, you can actually be smart and check what the real reason behind your bad mudra lag is and try to fix it, so you can ultimately enjoy the job again. Or you can keep on going the easy way, and keep pretending a hotfix that didn't even touch mudra's magically made them worse for you or a single server (which is untrue, I spoke to a nin from ragnarok's angered fc that cleared A4s, and his mudra's are fine). Keep blaming SE for something that doesn't exist. The problem is, that way your mudra's will stay bad and you can either live with it, change jobs or quit the game.
Well, you put it in another terms now, because i am (was?) so sure about this, since many ninjas like me said the same things but, since we are all from Italy, not the best place for internet connection, maybe, could be usefull to try to ask at our telephone company. Still strange toh, other games don't have the same problem

Also from Ragnarok, can confirm my mudras are working as intended.
OP here with some... well, I guess decent news. In between good and bad. Sorry I haven't made a reply in a while.
As of two days ago, I officially unsubbed and uninstalled the game.
However, due to a new upcoming project in the works and my participation in it I'm still staying around the FFXIV community. Because I'll be losing access to the official forums rather soon, the Google Doc version is revived. Please refer to that for all future updates as the OP here will not be updated anymore.
Additionally, I believe there's a new theorycrafting forum in the works for FFXIV. Keep your eyes peeled for that.

So I've leveled NIN to 60 recently and I never played it much since leveling it to 50 until now, but I've been wondering what to do if a tank (mostly in DF) were to pull a boss without waiting 15/20s on Huton for TA in the opener on a boss? Like, do I pop B4B/IR without TA up? Do I hold those until TA is up? Do I put dots up w/o TA or hold off until TA is up? etc.
It looks like this thread is kinda dead now, but I hope this is the appropriate place to ask ;-; Thank you.
depends on the content and context
on regular dungeons it shouldnt really matter that much, but here's what I do
if you know boss fight is coming next pull, try to end the current pack with AC so you get full huton duration with a fresh ninjutsu to start off the fight
or, explicitly say you need a few seconds for CDs
alternatively, randomly spam deathblossom before hand so you have an legit "excuse" to wait for TP
on more difficult raid content, you can explain how the nin opener works, and theres the added benefit of using shadewalker and smokescreen to stabilize aggro
if the tank absolutely refuses to wait, i would do dots first then wait for the full burst with TA on the next ninjustu, you probably wont be refreshing mutilate however during that TA depending on how things line up

I'm surprised on how bad they managed to make the relic its spectacular
