Went into a dungeon once, and had one of the random players ask, in /say:

"wat do"

The fear I felt...the fear...

Saw something I thought was kind of strange. I cued in leveling roulette for tomes(On BLM cause felt like nuking), ended up in Library and saw a Scholar using Cure. No physic at all. She used cure and spammed Succor like Medica. Almost every pull the Tank's hp got really low and he had to use Clemancy. I guess they were friends since I imagined any sane tank would be like "Nope!" to something like that. She came close to running out of mp on all the boss fights. Most of her gear was Vit accessories and one Garuda healing ring. Luckly everyone else seemed to be pretty good at dodging but it was still an odd run.

Oh, my god, I ran Dusk Vigil this weekend with a tank who could not keep aggro to the point the healer nearly died twice before the first boss. I checked the tank's gear.

He was using a level 42 Notched Bill. Not the Vintage Bill...the garbage drop.

I asked if he had a higher level weapon. He replied, "Unfortunately not."

I just. Asdjffkmdjkglk. THEN WHY ARE YOU TANKING.

As a warrior main, I was fuming for the whole run.

I used Smokescreen on the healer whenever it was up, but...god. Why would anyone think that was okay.

So more about the dungeon than DF And a bit of a trip in the Way Back Machine, but my first run of Longstop and I unfortunately forgot to do my usual review of the dungeon before entering it. We get to the second boss, and part way through the fight, my Internet pretty much dies completely for a few seconds, and I have to log in again. I get through the process quickly enough to continue the fight. Only suddenly I'm not fighting an Angry Mudkip anymore, but a freaking Dragon. Which promptly flies away.

the other healer and i were just dumb foudned and tried to keep everyone up but sadly nope. doesnt help when you have 4 people standing there doing nothing letting stuff blow up. props to the one dragoon who was the one one trying to kill them

Tried to do my lvl 50 roulette on my blm before maint starts, get Sastasha HM of course. Tank pulls big, we wipe. No problem, it happens! Things are fine until the room before the last boss...Tank pulls everything, we wipe...Didn't even have time to get a fire 2 off. After we rez, he pulls the whole room again, wipe. Rez, pulls whole room, wipe! I left after that....just can't do it today lol.

I don't understand, the healer clearly couldn't handle the first big pull...Why keep pulling like that? After the second wipe you think he would've slowed down, but nope!

And to stay on topic, I have Void Ark story to share too. I was on my third run in a row trying to get a MNK equip. And sometime during the second boss I picked up a couple of the other DPSes. The were following me around and staying around where I was. At first I didn't think much of it. With 24 other people running around it's not like there's a designated spot. But the hat dropped and everyone else took off, but me and the other two. And then I got it and equiped and took off and then they followed. It was like that the rest of the dungeon, they stuck with me and did what I did. But here's the scary thing, I never learned the mechanics of Void Ark. I learned by doing what they were doing: by following other people.

I thought you said Stone Vigil, and I was like "Well I mean there are worse weapons for that dungeon..."
but then I got to Smokescreen and I had to re-read...that must have been a slow run.
