Honestly, Yoshida says a lot of things. (Alex normal = coil with echo?) I'm pretty sure it was just to delay the inevitable backlash of zeta owners when they find out how inconsequential the skipped step is. My money is on the first step being easy.

I suppose that would be right after all why respect all the work that relic owners put into their zeta's (even pre nerfs) when those who did nothing but complain got super nerfs, still didn't do them, and still want the next step (3.0) to be an easy one. I suspect the first step will be hard just like the atma step was to begin with. Then we can have a dozen or so threads complaining about how hard it is, how its so not worth it, how the grind is just ridiculous. Sounds about right to me.

I suppose we'll know soon enough.

Possibly happen, since what I see is farm party only can DPS above 74% on P1 while not-clear party can do 71%. Farm party got derp people really -.- .

Also.. 74% is more than enough to killl it lol. If you're wiping while taking boss under 75% it means people are not doing mechanisms or they stop dpsing during the fight. Tbh.. From what I see.. If no1 fails mechanisms, 75% is 100% killratio. You can even kill it at 78% in case some1 dies lowers party dps in phase1 and then catches up(had that happen aswell).

Tbh even with 4 blm + 2pld and whm + ast its possible to farm it fine lol. (Personal experience).

To be fair, most groups on shiva sucks. It's a casual server after all. :x

If you mean train groups yeah I believe so. Thats why you have to get people at same phase as you who dont slack. Tbh this is why I always place there multikill exp and 3 wipes in a row = disband and that's what we do honestely. Rarely happens but that's the truth. A group without at least 30% kill ratio isn't a farm lol and to be honest the ideal is always at least 50%.


Still don't ask me but I know at least 40 people who killed thordan in party finder in Shiva and farmed their weaps. ^^".

Yoshida did also say that even he wouldn't want to do the first step of the Anima, two conflicting statements. The relic is quite easy now, so it's worth doing even for just the glamour imho.

I actually did another Zeta because I wanted to skip the first step of 2 different Anima weapons.

I would say it took maybe 30-40 hours and around 1.3m gil. I had enough GC seals and Poetics to buy all the needed mats without delay and enough Allied Seals to buy ~50 Alexandrite straight up. I also did it as a i209 60 WAR so I could solo most of the content and got instant queues for the content I couldn't solo. Because I had already done a zeta before, I could also stack the steps to progress multiple parts at once. Also, I'm very familiar with the content in general so I didn't need to waste time researching fate spawns, mob locations, dungeon details, etc.

So, I imagine I was close to the most ideal situation and it still took that long. And, I would just like to say that while 30-40 hours doesn't sound that bad, that includes a lot of grinding that most people won't have an appetite for -- 40+ runs of Sastasha NM.

The comment Yoshida made was that at this point, it wasn't worth doing a Zeta just to help Anima progression. Well, unless the first step takes more than 30-40 hours and 1.3m gil to do, then he's right. And, if the step we're skipping takes anywhere close to that, unless the subsequent quests are very easy, we're in for a back-breaking grind.

I’m just dying to know where you can start the quest for the Anima Relics, so that i can leave my character at that location when i log off after tonights play session. I’m guessing it’s going to be over at Hyrstmill (where you could find Gerolt, at least until now). The 3.1 Patch Preview Site shows Gerolt standing in Azys Lla, working on “something”. So, i’m guessing he’ll be moving from Hyrstmill to Azys Lla for this Relic.

I would also like to know what it is that we will need to do for the Anima Relic in 3.15, because i’m thinking about working on more than just my Paladin Relic this time around. I was thinking about working on the Paladin, Bard and White Mage Relic (maybe the Dark Knight Relic as well).

So, it would be great if SE would release the Preliminary Patch notes today with info where to start the Anima Relic as well as the Saint Endalim's Scholasticate Quest requirements and coordinates.

I wonder what kind of RNG horror they have planned out for us. I loved the first and second phase of Relic Reborn, but then came Atma, which took me months to complete. Knowing SE, I fear we are getting some RNG BS that will drive majority of us mad. I also do not like how Yoshi-P said that the first stage of Anima is horrible and he would never do it... why design something horrible?

Both quest will probaly start in Ishigard, so to those that want to log off somewhere, stay in Ishigard.
