yeah, it's definitely some kind of fireball. And if they put in THAT animation in the game, I'm gonna be very, very happy of having leveled thaumaturge to 50.

Actually you just confirmed that that weapon doesn't look at all like a lance, and looks a lot like a scythe.

Oh and the helm looks basically exactly like the FFXI dark knight helm (demon face), and absolutely nothing like the FFXI dragoon helm.

Final nail in your theory: The armor is called "Evil armor", evil has absolutely nothing to do with dragoons.
