So an reexamining it, it IS different than the males, but still not as muted as what my character performs. The only motion in my leg is a slight heel tap, but Linu Vali is clearly moving her entire leg. The arms are the different angle as well, but again it looks much more forceful.

I don't know, maybe it's a limitation due to the vanu vanu model frame. But its still a disappointment after seeing that dance for 6 months, and then getting a different one because someone in the real world designed a weak dance for ladyfolk.

It's like showing us the manderville dance, but then having a weak version for females because it was actually a real dance from somewhere that a majority of players have never seen before.

No, just whining that it looks lame. And yes, I realize I'm calling a dance performed by real people in the world lame but so be it. I also think the macarena is lame.

If you see it carefully, her dance is different with her brother.

And please, no need to debate this again. We don't have bunny ears for males yet so let this dance exclusive for male for now.

That cutscene is less laughable on a male character, it looked like something straight out of a parody video here. I suppose that's more to do with giant ferocious looking owl creatures being afraid of dances more than anything else.

Yeah, I think my main reaction to it was hampered by being in full warrior ensemble when I did the quest, and then my making the softest motions possible startles the enemy. My walking animation has more heft to it than that dance.

You might want to rewatch that cutscene again and again till to you SEE that her legs are NOT bent squatted like her brother's legs. If this is the whole issue that people are complaining 'bout, then you might want to also rewatch the video that was provided by Dragonslayer over and over to see that similarities in both the cutscene and that video. The developers got it right. Don't like it, too bad.

I question whether I'm playing a PvE game with PvP mixed in, or I am I playing a PfG.

    Well, I'll be damned.

I really couldn't tell there were other female Vanu Vanu. Well done Square-Enix.

The power of observation, This is just something female users will have to deal with, if you seriously want the male version that badly then fantasia to a male. OR just take a salt tablet.

All beastmen use the same model, regardless of gender, so you can't tell who is what unless they specifically say they are male or female. Other than the difference in the dance, I believe a Vanu whose last name ends in the "-li" prefix is female.
