Why are people even discussing the "Harp" on the Bow?

It was widely spread already that BRd is one of the Jobs to come and it was widely spread that ARc is prolly gonne be the BRD, since there is some connection between ARCs and BRDs in previous Roleplaying Games and lorewise, so FFXIV just took that over.

Don't act so surprised that ARC is gonna end up as BRD, it's nothing new.

To be able to quickly swap between playing the harp and attacking with the bow? Otherwise he'd have to put his bow away, pull out the harp, play the music, put the harp away, and pull out the bow.

Or he could just snap the harp down, play it, and snap it back up.

I think it's safe to assume Archer will be Bard. After all, there was a Dev post stating that Bard was in fact a confirmed job. I don't really see any other class that could host Bard as a job.

Bard should have been a class which used instruments. lol.

Prolly not a harp on bow: If you look closer the strings are textured as ropes and the design resembles a exagerrated form of pulleys from a compound bow's pulley/tension system.

Furthermore: Theres a uninhabited Guild in Gridania with a instrument over the doorway. This possibly insinuates BRD will be a class since classes have guild halls/counters/rooms and could possibly be releasing with Arcanist and Muskateer

Currently the "Job" names that finalized are: Paladin, Monk, White Mage, Black Mage, Dragon Knight, and Bard.

Directly from a Famitsu interview. Archer will be Bard.
Dragon Knight will probably be localized to Dragoon. Though maybe not, who knows.

No, because that would actually make sense and be compatible with the rest of the game.

so these all look great all, infact, more exciting than the whole patch of 1.19 to me personally. but the question must be asked, who's to say these pics are not just some fancy artwork and don't hold any truth at all?

Could someone please link this epic dev thread that 100% confirms BRD to be a job?

Wouldnt be the first time ppl jumped to ridiculous conclusions because of a missworded dev post. Even the devs admit they sometimes misword things as well as mistranslate

The BLM and DRG concepts were shown a long time ago, and the BLM AF is actually already in the .DAT files.
It's more than safe to assume that these are finished designs.
