Yeah, the bees wasn't too bad. I just thought it was weird that they knew I was new but didn't pull any punches lol. But alright, thanks for the info! O: And the slides was pretty intense. I do have to say that it was nice to feel like a healer instead of a dps with healing.

I've had a few Somh Al runs like that. That first boss, I've even joined the crowd who ignores the mechanics, since they don't really hit hard enough to worry about even with low DPS or a weak healer. Still, if you think that run was rough, just wait for the next two dungeons you'll get. The next one in particular still gives me trouble at the final boss with most DF groups regardless of whether I'm healing or DPSing. And the dungeon after is considered by many to be HW's version of AV, (though I didn't personally have trouble with AV). It's a pain to heal, and the last boss is personally the hardest one to heal I've experienced in the game, (though I don't heal in Savage, so those are probably harder), and career healers even tend to have trouble with it their first few times.......

Advice for one of the future dungeons, the Aery (without trying to spoil too much...)... at the final boss, when you're targeted for an attack that leaves you unable to move/do anything until someone breaks you out (kinda like goal, but you slowly die).... plant yourself in a DPS' face, before it takes hold, so they can't miss you. >.> *twitchtwitchtwitch* (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

To be totally honest here the one problem groups tend to have with the Aery is the last boss. Not going into details because spoilers, but as a tip, Medica II/Medica will be your friend.

besides this...

3 tips to this that a lot of people tend to ignore which makes it hard when it is actually easy
a) have everyone hug boss as the only dmg to dps is raid-wide why split up? AOE heals = win here
b) kill fetters
c) do not have adds cleave at the end so you don't have to waste mp

A. Can be bad news still.
B. Healer can get caught in it too, so success on this fight falls on DPS not tunnel visioning.
C. You know two of those mob groups ignores the tank, so there is going to be unavoidable cleaving. The other one needs to be stunned.

Just got out of living hell DF with two hellacious DPS, who kept emoting each other, and getting lovey dovey in the middle of the fight while everyone is getting beaten upon. One of the DPS dies at final boss fight and instead of waiting for a res, she respawned, and proceeded to do stupid things at the lockout like pretending her lover is on Mars or something. We totally got trolled, since the remaining dps in the fight was a machinist and he kept stopping to respond to his "lover", and that also he wasn't smart enough to move out of AoEs -_-

Needless to say, the tank and I weren't amused.
