Hildibrand is likely returning in the new quest series they're adding on the 15th Dec. The dev blog preview for it made it abundantly clear we would be 'investigating' with an old acquaintance.

Hildibrand is likely returning in the new quest series they're adding on the 15th Dec. The dev blog preview for it made it abundantly clear we would be 'investigating' with an old acquaintance.

The devs have stated time and time again that Hildibrand won't be related to the upcoming quest, I guess people are too hopeful? Regardless, it's been confirmed that the acquaintance is:

Briardien.

That's not to say Hildibrand won't show up, but it's unlikely as they've stated that their intention is not for a humorous storyline this time around. Another small correction, but we don't actually know if 3.15 is releasing on the 15th quite yet, I hope it does though... .-.

This is a new set of side quests separate from the Hildibrand story. It will be a completely new story, but that doesn't mean familiar characters won't appear.

No, this is a side story, a school story, but not so much comedy. We'll have something else which will take the comedy role....

I believe the character I mentioned was datamined information.

Thanks, I appreciate it I still live in hope, but I'm looking forward to more side quest lines even if they don't include Hildibrand.
