Anyone tried Blood peppers with Pearl sprouts yet?

Well that saves me the trouble of trying out the Chives/Blood Pepper and Dalamud Popoto/Blood Pepper combinations.

I'm still trying them again in my new mass-crossbreed patch - after all T3 Thanalan soil isn't 100%.

I haven't been able to find any reports of this yet but I just harvested 2x Chive seeds from one Pearl Sprout plant. I used Shroud soil in hopes of this happening. Sorry if this is already known but in the past we were only able to obtain one seed from the top tier seeds (ie. Glazenut).

That's quite an exciting outcome. Do you find Shroud 3 good for crossing because I've always been under the impression that it rarely crosses, unlike Thanalan 3?

Aye that is the nature of the soils.

All of the soils have the same base values for the effects they are not designed to perform.

Grade 3 Shroud Soil has:
normal Growth Quality
enhanced Yield Rating
normal Crossbreed Chance

Grade 3 La Noscean Soil has:
enhanced Growth Quality
normal Yield Rating
normal Crossbreed Chance

Grade 3 Thanalan Soil has:
normal Growth Quality
normal Yield Rating
enhanced Crossbreed Chance

Thanks for the information, I was told long ago that they only had the one effect that was enhanced according to the soil type (eg Than 10,50,90% crossbreed or whatever). This will change my gardening somewhat! =)

I could had sworn that LA Noscean soil has a chance for yields to be high quality. Am I mistaken?

Indeed, I'm aware of that. I just thought it'd be better for me to attempt something else

You're right. Unless the description is mistaken, there's no soil that shortens the growth time of plants.

So for blood pepper seeds you could use grade one soil and it wouldn't affect the outcome? Grade 3 than soil is my savior/bane. :3
