I like this letter, its a bit short but I would prefer a short letter and sooner patch than the other way round.

I am especially appreciative of the extra inventory slots, but the reason for this seems obvious to me. With the increase of class specific gear and the future introduction of jobs those of us with lots of high rank combat classes will need to carry a lot more equipment around. At the moment I can get away with 3 sets of armour (metal, leather and cloth) with some bits (like trousers) suitable for all classes, plus a gathering set and a few crafting sets, but in the future I will need 7 for the combat classes alone.

I'm glad we're getting the extra slots but I wish they were obtainable via a quest rather than: "Free space for everybody!". At least we would have some incentive to do some of those sidequests.

Yes 100 more slots of worthless items I have to npc when coming back from leves... yes I'm very happy...

These new slots aren't for free. If they are "giving away" so many slots then i'd expect some BAD class/rank restriction OTW...they pretty much are saying "Hey! Here...5 slots for each class for the class/rank exlusive gear."

The retainer slots aren't free too...they will be adding 80 different types of materia...if this is counting all 4 tiers it would means 20 slots used by materia if crafters decide storing only the highest ones...and if the 80 are different then it would means 320 different materias is you count the 4 tiers...so in short you receive 100 slots but like 80 might be used by materia....the other 20 probably by catalysts...

So in short they're just covering it so the game would have a storage collapse after patch...if you craft/gather then there's no eal inventory gain.

Completely! If they add a materia tab then these new slots will turn into a real inventory bonus, which i'd love to see! ^^

Sometimes.... there are moments where you think people will be happy regarding something such as this. Then you read further and realize it was all a fantasy. This is literally my own Final Fantasy. I give up on you FFXIV community. You're ridiculous.

100 more slots and 50 for each retainer!!! AWESOMENESS! My DoLing and DoHing getting much more happy soon. Those extra slots will likely come in hand with materia system
