I never said it was. Actually if dual wield wasn't meant to be at original FFXIV we wouldn't have 1-handed weapons showing at off-hand slot since beta. I just don't like the concept of you striking twice with minor/no penalty to weapon performance and effects like we had in FFXI.
My suggestion regarding this was making sual wield like hand-to-hand concept...making "twin weapons" so NINs would be able to dual wield or having the average performance of both weapons...halving both weapons attributes/effects and using the average delay of both...just ike we have with hand-to-hand weapons. But this won't happen.

Oh, right. Average performance/sats would solve some of the issue.I never said it was. Also bear in mind that by dualwielding, you also lose the ability to hold a shield. So it increases your attack for a decrease in defence. Which is good since it would provide gladiators for two avenues of gameplay (DD and Tank).
so are you admitting you are gifthorse here, i thought that was something you were denying.Hey! I happen to like dual wield and PvP.
Both of these are "additions".
My main point of contention is with "subtractions" or "mutilations", which is pretty much most of what SE has been doing to FFXIV.
I don't see how you can fault them for bringing in Dual wield and PvP, since they scarcely impact upon any other aspect of the game.
what do you mean minor no penalty dual wielding sword would mean no shield, which would mean no shield skills which would mean massive defense nerf.I never said it was. I say we all get together and have a competition of who has the greenest grass YA'HEARD!!?
But in AoC it was instanced, which I imagine is what SE would do: instance it. If it was non-instanced like Darkfall and DaoC and Archeage, then it would probably work, but I cannot imagine SE permitting players to build stuff on their precious maps.
A while back I read that HQ items will be made from HQ materials. I can't find the source but we have been discussing it for a while. Is that going to be implemented in 1.19? I can't remember. I'm trying to determine if we will be attaching materia to +1, +2, and +3 items in 1.19 and patch 1.20 will revamp the HQ process. Can someone set me straight?
