Had a group at the library that just did not get the idea of "do not drag spark balls to the seals that we need to stand on". Wiped a few times and just quit in disgust.

Here's my story. im a TANK (GLD) and i get the aggro of EVERYTHING I fight (including adds).I don't know much about the cards class but, do they have a hard time keeping up with healing? Because everytime one of them is in the party they sometimes stop healing me and start focusing on attacking. So here i am spaming psychic keeping myself from dying and fucking the team over, and then they suddenly start healing again. This happend with 3 card users so far. Is there a trick to their spells or something?
If you're properly geared and use your cooldowns, you (as a tank) are not hard to heal, especially in low level dungeons. Healers who are comfortable with the rate of your HP loss will typically throw out damage spells to make the run go faster. You shouldn't be danger of dying. In fact, AST (card users) have a healing spell that is more powerful the lower your health, so they are probably just taking advantage of that.
If you actually do die, that's something to discuss with your healer.![]()
Haven't played that job that much, barely picked it up, but I do know that one of their better healing spells has higher potency the less HP the recipient has left. So some of them will probably hold out for as long as they dare before bringing you back to life. That doesn't mean those particular healers were skilled enough to pull that off -- they could just as well have tunnelvisioned, or 'heard' about how AST is 'supposed' to heal and attempting to emulate that.
Other than that, though, they are (as far as I know) slightly weaker when it comes to healing, something that's supposedly compensated with their card utility... but until you're good at it (which takes longer than the other two healer jobs, according to those friends I have who play it) it can be tricky to have time to use cards without falling behind on the healing. And since they start at level 30, and you're still below that level, your chances of running into new ASTs are quite high.

I remember a while ago I DF Brayflox normal, DPSing at the time, with a SCH healing for the first time. I KNOW it was their first time, cause during the first 2 or 3 trash pulls, they were constantly healing themselves. This went down with the tank and SCH, "what are you doing, your supposed to be healing me, not yourself at full health" "How exaclty do i heal you?" "are you serious?" I couldn't help but laugh.

Shoulda told the SCH to stick to SMN instead xDI remember a while ago I DF Brayflox normal, DPSing at the time, with a SCH healing for the first time. That being said, I remembered my first time healing as a noobie WHM. I remembered I hate manually clicking on each party member just to heal.
Then I found the magic of macro and < mo > commands.....

I tried library last night but the lag was so unbelievable 2 of the players were constantly teleporting and all of us got hit by all the debuffs at the book stage even when we avoided the floor aoes...I gave it 3 shots then we vote abandoned. I've never had nearly that much trouble with that dungeon before.

Trial roulette on SCH, got "that" AST. You know, the one who sees a SCH as co-healer and sits in Nocturnal Sect, overwriting all your shields, and generally just being bad.

Three trips into the Void Ark on Sunday. Went on WHM. Three wipes at Cuchulainn for the first two runs, and finally an abandon for both. Finally, third run, got all the way through and got the boots...glad I didn't hold out for a chest piece because it did not drop.
Still not quite sure why the first two groups failed so hard but healing at Cuchulainn was like being stuck in quicksand. The harder we tried to get out, the faster we sank.

The joys of playing on console/with a controller. Just up and down on the d-pad to switch between party members.....
