    Saint Mocianne's Arboretum Fix Idea

We all hate trash but SE hates when you Skip it so here SE a clever way to punish trash Skippers in "Saint Mocianne's Arboretum"

Buff : Hive Mind : Member - all trash Bee's before the second boss have this buff

Buff : Hive Mind : Queen - The second boss has this buff, This buff would increase the the boss's Damage based on how many add were not killed, and the damage up potency can be crazy potent.. 1 buff is like 3 or 4 times the damage, two can be like 10. and at 3 stacks the buff could change to "Hive Mind : Protection" where as soon as you enter the boss room you just flat out die.

I like this idea and would be fun to see it's results to trash skippers.
    Enjoy

PS: we all hate trash yes, but just kill it and no one gets hurt. good day

I like this idea, and interesting ideas like this, however for the arboretum I think its too late to put this in. I say this because the bees feel very disconnected from the queen, and adding this would generate a backlash from dungeon runners, who feel like SE are "nerfing speed running," and rather than intelligent design, it would be seen as malicious. Having said that, I would love this idea in a future dungeon.

Or SE would wise up, remove trash from the game entirely, and add minibosses along the way that can at least hold 5 seconds of interest for the players.

Things I would like to see to make trash and dungeons more interesting:
    - A dungeon that is in itself a boss (You see the boss but can't attack it, you must travel the dungeon beating specific trash to weaken the boss)
    - Puzzles like Sunken temple of Qarn
    - A stealth based dungeon like T10, where the alarm is triggered if you are spotted
    - Threats that aren't trash. (AOEs from untargetable entities)
    - A dungeon that splits the party (probably not possible due to favouring PLD, BLM, and SMN for their heals)
    - Minibosses

or just do what some other MMO's have done, any trash you don't kill up to a boss, join that boss fight as soon as you start it.

Ex. In DAoC on the PvE server, you could attack castles inhabited by a faction of mobs, it was actually rather fast and easy to just break down the doors and run up to the Boss of the castle, but if you didn't clear ALL of the trash in the castle first, you'd hear a loud horn call as soon as you pulled the boss and every trash mob would run up to join the fight. In extreme cases this could be upwards of 50 adds to the fight.

My thoughts: the idea's sort of interesting, but maybe in future content, where it's part of the dungeon design. What you're proposing punishes those that were creative/geared up enough to employ this tactic in the first place in a dungeon that really wasn't designed to related trash to the boss.

In general though, more creativeness with trash would be nice.

Real talk @ OP: What is the problem with the skip in Arboretum? It requires good tanking, decent healing, and ideally some coordination for stuns on Orn Hornets. You are talking about trash being "boring," and how "everyone hates it," yet the skip in Arboretum is probably one of the more interesting pulls mechanically than any other trash pull available end-game.

So is the OP just mad that they haven't pulled the skip off successfully? I'm sorry, I don't see the point in this suggestion at all.

I have no issue with the trash, as a healer I do not enjoy the pull. I have easily done the pull multiple time. but this isn't about me or how I feel about it. SE has stated multiple time SKIPPING mobs is not ok. Speed runs, as long as you kill everything, is OK. Whether you like it or not THEY will change this dungeon to stop the skipping, I am only providing them a simple solution to do this.

Be ready for the change cause IT IS coming.

I am as confused as you on this. Why do we need to suggest a convoluted 'fix' for this? SE is not going to fix this because there is nothing to fix. You can do the same thing in every dungeon by holding the trash at the entrance, pulling the boss, and letting the force field lock them out.
