I really don't like this hairstyle, or its just the character that wears it makes it look lame. I need to see all the angles.
I usually make my male characters as graceful/young/girly looking as possible, but something seems really off about this character to me lol...

Why this man just like au ra female?!

Inb4 he becomes the new center of "Haurchefant/Aymeric hype" people are fanboying over. ( Which for the life of me can't understand )
Probably because Aymeric is the best looking Elezen in the entire game, he stands out. Haurchefant is loved for what he did in the story, I guess. I'm glad they changed him from being a creep.

Thanks for all the replies..I hope they'll consider giving us this hair ^^

I'd just add that it's also cause the majority of people find themselves attracted to the average standard of beauty - the commonly accepted one, or the "right one" if you wanna offend some people. Aymeric does look good for a girl. That's what I could agree on. Unlike most Elezen (generic NPC ones or player characters) his face is unique which makes him stand out as a more memorable character, especially since he's featured and fully voiced in many cutscenes.

At the risk of opening a can of worms I would say that the dominant attitude amongst gamers tends to be more what we're seeing hints of here. Men who do not conform to gamers' ideas of masculinity are dismissed as being girly, effeminate or 'androgynous' (none of these things are bad at all, of course, but the words are often used pejoratively) while the rugged hero types are gladly accepted. There are, of course, a huge amount of people who actively like these so-called 'girly' characters, but I don't think I've ever seen a discussion involving beautiful males in games that doesn't end up attracting people who question their credentials as men at some point.
I think the most ridiculous post of this type I have seen to date was someone complaining that Fran (FFXII) was 'a guy' because she didn't conform to the poster's arbitrary definition of femininity, despite Fran being, well, Fran.
Going back to the topic at hand, Aymeric really isn't my type at all but his voice (in Japanese, at least) is out of this world. I could listen to him talking about boring political problems all day long. In Haurchefant's case I like the archetype of the debauched and slightly eccentric lord; it helped that he was so thoroughly earnest and sweet beneath the creepiness. Genuine enthusiasm is so rare, both in-game and in reality, that it's really attractive.
In any case, I think that our NPC Elezen are popular because some people out there have fantastic taste![]()

Yes please. This hairstyle looks very good and should be implemented for both sex. It's perfect for an androgynous look.
