I stand corrected on china not being included. But I don't think I'm wrong about your last sentence. Every single piece of combat content has been designed to pursue new subs and resubs and be as welcoming as possible. Why do you think "catch up" is such a catch phrase in this game?

I'm not saying potential resubs don't matter. It's important to do things to draw in players who quit or took a break, or to try and entice them away from other games. However, they can't just assume the people still around will always be there. You can't make huge promises, break them, and expect your customers to just get over it and move on.

I wish they had some form of catch up with crafting, If they do and I haven't found it yet please let me know.

They made getting supra and lucis tools super easy, does that count?

It's absolutely ridiculous that this is even an issue. But Square Enix has now decided to lock content behind having a house and if all the plots are taken you are SOL for your free company. Terrible system. Just make all houses instanced.

With current 60 gear (Not AF2), it's pretty easy to craft the token for lucis. For token to recipe 2, literally almost same with craft for red scrip (even easier).

Also before HW I can make lucis for GSM,CUL,and WVR.

I didn't do any of the crafting ones, but the gathering ones....
just took a lot of time. Sorta cool though since they are on-par with the level 60 NQ tools, so I didn't even have to buy new tools till I was done leveling.

I don't know, maybe in that huge housing complaint thread or the housing subforum or any of those other avenues instead of going "man I really wish all those old players didn't come back to repopluate the game".

This issue people have is a large number of those players who do come back to reclaim their houses won't actually stick around. Typically speaking, the likelihood of someone growing bored with anything, only to suddenly be reinvigorated are slim. I doubt any will be necessarily malicious, but with Fall Out 4, Metal Gear Solid 5 and other games that likely grabbed their attention. Chances are they won't re-sub, or if they do, it will be for a short while before bailing again. All SE has to do is either time this after December 25th (or even during) or require a subscription in order to reset the demolish timer. Instead, this wrecks of the devs simply being shortsighted.

People aren't pissed over the event, but the fact housing has been an ongoing problem and the one step they take to remedy it may be ruined. When you've been an active sub, that gets understandably frustrating. Think of it another way. We all here pay $15+ a month and many can't afford housing. This campaign allows someone to hop on, play for a while and keep their house even if they have no intention of coming back.

Can't entirely blame the saltiness.

Guys please. You not owning a house didn't make you unsub but making unsubbed people lose their house will guarantee that they never come back. Unless you start spending money on the cash shop for 15 dollars a month or more, you're worth less to SE than them trying to get resubs. As they say, more money for SE is always a good thing. You getting a house this year (or never) is not going to matter to SE because you're still here only paying 15 dollar a month and still would be regardless of whatever.

Think about it, having a house or having more people to play with, which is better? Of course it's the latter. :^)

While not necessarily untrue. Frequent hollow promises is a good way to chase away their existing subs. You walk a fine line appealing to a fanbase you don't have over one you do.
