SE said they were going to add a house transfer system at some point, didn't they? So people could move their house to another plot without demolishing. My guess is that they are currently working on that system and want it to be ready before any automatic demolish takes place.

Although, this doesn't stop people from getting their house demolished on purpose so they can move early. Idk. It's probably a last chance for people to save their house for free, a response to all the whine about losing houses.

I guess I don't have to camp the housing areas on Christmas Eve . jk

I'd like to be happy for inactive players, but I can't. Maybe that does make me selfish, as somebody said in an earlier post.

All I know is that our FC is probably going to have to save at least twice as much gil as we planned and then wait patiently for another player to fleece, I mean sell, to us.
That leaves a rather bitter taste.

It's not being selfish, the Free Login campaign is a good thing for all of us, what is wrong is that any house owner without an active suscription can extend the 45 days period just going to their own house once during that 96 hours.

Great....Now my FC can yet again, wait 45 days because SE decided to give the inactives who are not supporting the game another 45 days to keep a limited in game resource from us paying customers. This was a huge stupid mistake on SE's part.

There is incentive.......Subscribe or lose your house. This was not needed. Now, inactive people can continue to NOT support the game and extend keeping a limited resource from us paying customers. How lovely.

The housing reclamation has raised the hopes of people who were looking for a house, our FC has been working and saving in the expectation that housing would be available.
Now those hopes are being dashed. Inactive players who have not been supporting the game can come back and keep the houses they have not been using, possibly for months. While those of us who have been subbed but unable to buy a house get nothing.

If Square had announced any other measures to help relieve the shortage of housing, I wouldn't be here complaining.
