Chive + Coerthan Tea = La Noscean Leek, Azeyma Rose (2 attempts)
Chive + Old World Fig = Dalamud Popoto, Royal Kukuru (2 attempts; someone's old report on this giving Blood Peppers was probably bogus)
Chive + Pearl Sprout = nothing (2 attempts)
Chive + Dalamud Popoto = Chive (1 attempt; the other popoto doesn't want to grow up and leave home)


So there's a loop.

Azeyma Rose next to Star Anise: 3x Pearl Roselle seeds (only 3 of them could have crossed since I was fresh planting and the first rose was next to nothing)

We had to take a detour to feed our birds so for what it's worth;

pearl sprout + krakka root = sylkis bud or midland cabbage

This is an excellent and very efficient cross for cabbage though! Thanks.

So, I had this suspicion that..
Dalamud Popotoes are to Chives as
Royal Kukuru is to Glazenuts.

I think I was right. Dzemael Tomato + Dalamud Popoto = Chive


3 out of 3 on my attempts.

So Pearl Sprouts aren't required to make Chives (but Pearl Sprouts are a lot easier to get).

I suspect that crossing the popotoes with leek would've had the same result.
Crossing sprouts with either tomatoes or leek results in nothing, so far, similar to how apricots with old world figs give nothing.


Not exactly pioneering info, but just food for thought.

Cannot confirm. The tomatoes were planted against old popos that were being harvested.

On a side note, I planted pineapples in between those tomatoes and got pineapple seeds back. (2 out of 2)
