Allow us to obtain the refund when relinquishing land

I don't like the idea at all personally. If you want money for your house you can sell it to another player, or sit on it for the 80% (which is stall a massive loss all things considered)

Actually, people have been receiving the ban hammer(even though it's temporary) for selling their houses to other players, especially when other players call a gm to report it. And there would be no need to sell to other players if they had a sell feature in place. I mean, people are selling their plots for double what they're worth as a "relinquishing fee". So if we could sell back to an NPC, many people would be less gung ho about buying those trumped up prices. I don't really see what's to be against here.

That's because you're not thinking scummy enough. A rich player with multiple accounts and alts could buy up a neighborhood, or a the same desirable plot in multiple wards/sub wards and hold them for ransom. Even if they did get banned, the plots would still be unavailable.

...who the hell has the energy to do that??? You're right, I wasn't thinking scummy enough. However, everything in this game can be abused. Allowing people with houses to sell back their houses if they wish would be better for many people, and if the devs went into everything worrying overmuch about the scummiest of scum, we wouldn't have the PF or Vote Kick features. Housing is already being abused, and people are committed to waiting the 45 days just to get some of their money back instead of just demolishing for no reason. Personally, I'll only give up my house if it means I can put gil towards buying a large for my FC, so without a sell back feature it's just kinda...blah, y'know?
And I'm not trying to be rude, it's just that we can't let the scummy scum to run the game(they already do, tbh). I really advocate for a sell back feature because so many people would benefit from it.

Yeah, you're right. The situation I'm describing is pretty damn unlikely to happen. I know of at least one guy on my server with the means to do it, but I don't think he would. Considering how high the benefit would be to being able to choose to relinquish plots for a refund, and how low the risk of abuse is, I agree that it should be added.
