That's not how forums work.
That's especially not how Japanese forums work, and that is relevant since you know, this game is designed by Japanese developers.

People are actually allowed to gather. It's a feature of the Diadem. Just because you want to do something different than gathering doesn't mean what you want to do is better or you have any more right to do it.
I understand it's annoying if you want to farm and especially people who ignore party finder rules. That's my biggest peeve. However, wanting to zerg mobs isn't any more "valid" than wanting to gather.
Now that's out of the way, I don't see a problem with this request, but I highly doubt it will be implemented. People just need to change their attitudes towards gatherers because they have every right to be there.

This.
I mean if we want to go it a different way, I made a gathering PF for Diadem. Someone joined early on. Eventually more joined and we started talking about what we were going to do- objectives first and then gather, etc. The earlier guy who joined was like "What? We're gathering?"
I had literally put "GATHERING PARTY" in the description. Some people just don't read.

Try to use PF, you would be surprised how fast it fills and you wont have those issues4 parties in a row now. Someone leaves. Tanks just disappear after getting flight, some DPS goes off to gather.
Do they have the right to gather? Sure they do. But it ruins the party for those who want to get gear.
Not to mention making PF gathering parties is way easier than making PF mob killing parties. I mean sure they HAVE mob killing parties, but it usually comes with some ridiculous rules to make the organizers life easier.
I know what you're going to say. Use Party Finder or do it with your FC. Well, sure, but both of those have also failed not to mention since it IS in the DF and you COULD fix it, why not do it?
How to fix it:
1. Make a Diadem (Gathering)
2. Make gathering extremely vital in order to get good gear.
Other good inclusions: Let parties invite "stranded" members from other parties.
Not so good inclusion: Let members be kicked. This one only if party can be refilled by join in progress or getting those "stranded" members. Can sorta be abused but.. eh, the whole zone is abuse already. 8 hours wasted in one day. Fun.![]()

You honestly would've been better off putting your complaint into one of the already-existing threads instead of making yet another thread that's just going to end up buried in a few days. A single ongoing thread is much easier for the forum staff to point out to the devs than a bunch of tiny little nothing threads, most of which will just end up getting lost in the shuffle of an active forum. To people complaining about too much complaining: The more we complain, the more likely it is to be fixed. Unless you're trying to complain enough to stop me from complaining. That won't work. This was in fact MY first complaint regarding Diadem. Let's see if more are needed!
Basically, people that want to get stuff done keep the discussion to one thread. People that want attention make their own.

Ignorance is bliss.
Just look at the JP forums. Just on the first page you have threads with last posts 3 days old.
NA Forums? You got threads posted today on page 5. The sh*tstorm that is brewed here is unfathomable. Even Yoshida and the forum mods/devs requested that complaints/requests/feedback be kept to a minimum, to allow more diverse feedback be created and viewed, rather than having a squall of Diadems threads every week complaining about the same bloody thing every time.
People here are just like 'Screw SE, they simply ignore us NA forums, LET'S SPAM!', well you got your answer. Forums are moderated every day and all suggestions are taken down for whatever procedure they have over there.
If I were a forum mod I'd probably passive-aggressively merge all the posts togetherIgnorance is bliss.

I honestly don't even get why this stuff is even an issue. Df or Pf you should communicate goals and come to an agreement. The point of this content was to give ppl a somewhat open world battle/gathering content which was asked for since 2.0. Outside the objectives it suppose to be more or less open ended.
Why does the English community lack the want and will to communicate or follow group instructions. I don't recall party content being this "hard" to communicate in, on ff11. It boggles my mind that this is even an issue.
I don't see any need to change the content. Just promote the NEED to communicate.
Even yoshida said this.
